Job Description: Project Manager - Bank Technology Risk Management SpecialistLarge Financial Company / NYC Summary: Position is for a Project Manager to work within the bank holding division on an investment bank overseeing projects and activities dealing with risk and regulation. Person would ideally have experience with Risk, but general financial industry knowledge is sufficient. Vendor management experience is also required, but in this case the vendor management is primarily limited to oversight of vendor management and identifying risks with vendors. The right person must also have exceptional interpersonal skills to work in a very fluid role working between many groups and many people. Position Description:Senior Associate to coordinate due diligence activity for MSBNA (Morgan Stanley Banking North America) and manage project planning for the Bank Technology Risk Management team.
Versatile generalist with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills will establish positive working relationships within MSBNA and the Financial Holding Company (FHC) to facilitate completion of effective due diligence, vendor management and related activity, in accordance with documented policies and procedures. Assist with advocating for the US Banks and ensuring Bank requirements are met and efforts aligned with Financial Holding Company efforts. Enhance relationships with partner organizations and maximize opportunities for operational efficiencies. Requirements:5-8 years experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a top-tier firm, focused on project management and vendor management work.
Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills
Strong research skills; identify new requirements, evidence gathering
Outstanding relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influencing skills; ability to operate at senior levels in written and verbal communications
Strong familiarity with operational risk concepts, banking regulatory environment
Self-motivated and flexible; enjoys working independently and collaboratively with other people
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Sharepoint, Documentum, and standard MS Office toolkit
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical
BA or BS in English, Communications, Business, Technology, or related field Desired:Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, M.A.) in English, Technology, or related field
Proven track record with vendor management activity
