Pre-Sales Engineer – New Jersey (West) – Salary will be 60K-130K depending on experience

 

My client, a Telecommunications/ Technology Provider and Solutions Company is looking for a pre-sales System Engineer to provide guidance and assist account teams in building solutions to address specific customer needs. In this position, you will be working with technology experts to help them position the solution effectively against competing offerings. Related technical knowledge and sales skills are essential. The ideal candidate will also have a level of comfort communicating across all functions at the firm as well as with clients and business partners. This is a good opportunity for someone to work as a leader in the technology field with today's most innovative teams in demanding and growing industry environment-enabling career advancement in technical or management roles.

Experience and Responsibilities required:

  • 7+ years-related experiences in IT Sales and Systems Integration work
  • Pre-Sales experience required. Candidates with CCDx/CCIE certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of baseline SE skills of Core IP Network Routing/Switching, UC, Wireless, Data center and Security.  In-depth knowledge in at least one area of specialization.
  • Should have knowledge of  Cisco and its competitors, as well as other Partners capabilities
  • Must be able to successfully work with sales counterparts to develop "a trusted advisor" status in the accounts.
  • Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications.
  • Competitive knowledge (in area of specialization) including solution, technology and product offerings.
  • Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  • Ability to partner strongly with sales reps to drive account strategy.
  • Ability to educate vendors and team members on the value proposition, discovering business drivers and closing opportunities.
  • Be creative, determined and flexible in driving demand and pipeline
  • Excellent customer presence- Outstanding written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and technical/non-technical presentation skills for an array of different audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team.
  • Make executive calls and presentations articulating the business value.
  • Work closely with OEM sales teams to sell solutions to the specific verticals
  • Ability to collaborate with the Account Manager on creative enhancements that will drive additional gross Profit               
  • Can do attitude, with the ability to execute
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills
