Position Responsibilities – Summary
This individual will be responsible for leading the Windows desktop
engineering team. The responsibilities include designing and managing large
infrastructure migrations, evaluating new technologies, engineering desktop
solutions and providing L3 support. In this role, this individual will
assists project manager in the planning and technical direction of projects,
working with the developers, architects and end users to implement product
solutions to meet the business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the design, implementation, deployment, and support of the
desktop technologies
· Research solutions providing functional and technical written
evaluations of products and operating system upgrades and patches
· Create desktop and laptop build processes. Develop, organize and
maintain standard operational procedures
· Ensure that desktop standards are understood and followed by stake
holders and team members
· Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture and development
teams to provide implementation blueprints, industry best practices and
vendor product guidelines
· Prioritize work efforts, multi-task in a very fast-paced
environment, and provide timely and clear updates
· Assist the project manager with the budgets, resource allocation,
task distribution, delivery management, risk management and other project
management tasks
· Develop and manage ITIL based desktop service model – Service
Catalog, Change, Release, and Configuration Management, Disaster Recovery,
Incident and Problem Management
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Seven to ten years of experience on Windows Desktop Enterprise
technologies
· Must have experience with SCCM (SMS), Active Directory, Windows
2000/XP/7 desktop platform
· Must have experience on software packaging and distribution
technologies and building OS images using SCCM/Ghost/VMware or similar
products
· Experience on WMI, VB Scripting, Roaming profiles for user
settings, builds and distributions
· Experience on large migration projects – Windows 2000 to XP,
Windows XP to 7 and Office 2010 upgrade would be preferred
· Strong team leadership and management skills
· At least two years of experience in directly managing onshore –
offshore teams
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal
communication skills and ability to articulate technical solution to the
management team
· Must be able to independently plan and coordinate large projects
Keys to this Position:
1. This is a Lead level Windows Engineer that will lead the rollout of two
major migrations in 2012. We are going to upgrade from Windows XP to
Version 7 and we are going to upgrade from Office 2003 to 2010. The ideal
candidate will have experience with these upgrades.

Position Responsibilities – Summary
The Fixed Income Systems team seeks an individual who will take on important
responsibilities not only to support an internal investor-centric data model
system, but also play a lead role to design, develop and implement on-going
enhancements.
This individual will have responsibilities to directly work with business
analysis team to understand user requirements and then complete design,
develop and deliver new functionality to production. In order to be very
effective in this role, it is expected that this individual will have solid
understanding of complex workflow of various financial instruments e.g.
Bonds, Stocks, Swaps, Futures, Forwards and Options etc. It is expected that
the individual will reach a high level of proficiency within 2 months with
the system's instrument structures, batch processes and other aspects of
this data model.
The internal system is mainly using Oracle 11G, Java, MQ Broker and Data
Stage in order to implement various components. This individual is expected
to be highly proficient in Oracle 11G (SQL, PLSQL) and Java but knowledge in
MQ broker and Data Stage is a big plus.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, Develop and implement the resolution of moderate to
complex problems that originate from members of the business as well as
consumers of the internal system
· Closely work with consumers of the internal system to understand
the challenges/problems faced by consuming applications and devise creative
solutions in order to overcome those issues.
· Perform a lead role in order to migrate the internal system's
intraday infrastructure from MQ Broker to Java.
· Perform a lead role in order to troubleshoot any performance
issues related with intraday as well as batch.
· Perform a lead role in order to deliver new features within the
internal system.
· Closely work with other members of the team in order to
standardize and streamline development procedures.
· Provide leadership as Incident Commander when necessary.
· On a regular basis, evening and weekend work will be required in
order to provide routine revolving coverage, to address critical production
issues, or to provide oversight for disaster recovery testing, smoke testing
or other off-hours activities.
· Establish and maintain effective client relationships and help
guide the team in setting priorities for completion of requests or
resolution of issues.
· Manage and facilitate implementation of business solutions aimed
at investment process efficiency, data quality improvements and simplifying
investor work-flow.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Minimum of ten years of experience in IT industry with five years
experience in supporting buy-side investment systems, fund accounting,
portfolio construction, investment performance, or related systems.
· Understanding of fixed-income and derivative securities is a plus
but not required.
· Demonstrated experience in analysis and design for medium to large
initiatives.
· Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
· Motivated, agile and able to work independently in a fast paced
team oriented environment. Committed to deliver projects on time and
overcome obstacles.
· High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality is
absolutely essential.
· Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high degree of
ownership of outcomes.
· At least 10 years of experience in Java is required (Java, J2EE,
JMS and related technologies).
· At least 5-7 years of experience in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL is a
must.
· Strong experience in Data Modeling is required.
· Experience in MQ Broker and Data Stage is a big plus.
· Demonstrate strong client focus and relationship management
skills.
· Bachelor's degree is a minimum. Advanced degree is preferred.
