The following role just came into Top Dog for a super star Pre-sales Systems Engineer with a strong background in the financial services industry in NY. I was hoping you might know of someone who could be a good fit for this role. Comp is obviously based on proven experience but for a real super star they'll go up to 160K base with an OTE of 240K at plan. They want to see someone who is very strong technically in the areas of Super Computing / Big Data and has a strong customer interfacing background where they have been pitching value propositions / cost benefit analysis / performed or pre-sales responsibilities or even sales. Any help you can offer is greatly apprecaited!
TECHNICAL PRE-SALES SYSTEMS ENGINEER - Financial Services (up to 240K OTE for a super star!)

Requirements:
- 7+ years of systems engineering experience
- 3+ years of High Performance Computing (HPC)/ Super Computing / Grid / Data Center/ Big Data / MapReduce experience and/or Technical Computing experience
- 5+ years years of current Linux
- Experience with xCAT installation and systems management
- Experience in a pre-sales or post sales customer interfacing role
- Must have strong presentation skills (verbal and written)
- 5+ years of systems level programming experience ( scripting experience)
- Experience working for a Financial Institution at some in their career - must have strong financial industry experience - selling into or working for (if working for -must have customer facing experience for a vendor or services company)
Preferred Experience:
- Infrastructure Architecture experience
- Experience in pre-sales, product marketing, sales engineering or ability to identify sales opportunities
- Experience with any of the following
- Grid Computing
- Cloud Computing
- Shared Services
- Virtualization
- Enterprise Data Center Automation tools
- Enterprise Analytics applications
