LONG TERM CONTRACT – 26 weeks plus likely extension
Client in Jersey City, NJ
Rate $85-92 per hour DOE
An experienced INFRASTRUCTURE project manager is needed who can effectively drive the configuration, deployment and on-going support of the selected Outsourced Service Provider (OSP) and Vendor Management Governance System (ARCHER) without which progress on managing vendor risk would be severely hampered and control readiness would be jeopardized.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
? Responsible for the successful configuration, deployment, and on-going support of the selected OSP and Vendor Management Governance System ( ARCHER) , on an enterprise wide basis
? Define resource needs, establish and maintain overall plan
? Understand business requirements and work with user community to ensure the optimal configuration of the selected software to meet business needs; communicate potential business process changes to team responsible for business process design
? Understand and manage key stakeholders' expectations
? Communicate project status, key issues and results on a regular basis
? Supervise project teams and manage critical path / key dependencies / issues
? Proactively identify and resolve project issues effectively and in a timely manner
? Ability to guide the development of pragmatic communication and training strategies, plans and material, and execute against the resulting plans
? Establish change management process, coordinate vendor upgrades, and coordinate on-going support (e.g. help desk, user administration, review / vetting of production support requests)
? Assess team performance and provide appropriate coaching/mentoring to develop and motivate staff when necessary
? Work closely with the overall Program Manager and Solution Vendor, including management and technical staff
? Ensure the program complies with all company policies and standards

Role Responsibilities:
We require a senior developer within Equity Swaps Technology. As a key member of the International Equity Swap team your responsibilities will be:
• Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. Evaluate interrelationships between programs such as whether a change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
• Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes. Write new program code using prescribed specifications with appropriate automated test suites. Perform unit, integration and system testing.
• Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls. Write and maintain programming documentation. Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
• Assist personnel of other departments as a technical resource and act as a mentor for junior programmers.
Essential Skill Requirements:
• Demonstrable experience as a Core Java developer working within an investment banking environment on a Unix platform
• Understanding and mastery of Java principles such as multithreading, concurrency, collections, and design patterns
• Working knowledge of JMS(MQ, Tibco), Spring, and JUNIT
• Understanding of relational database technologies with SQL
• Experience of the entire project lifecycle, with a methodical approach to development and testing
• Proven track record in system delivery
• Solid business knowledge, preferably derivatives or cash equities
• Attention to detail, excellent verbal communication skills, and strong analytical and problem solving skills are an absolute requirement
