Global IT Service Planner

 

 

The Global IT Service Planner is responsible for the management and planning of the IT Service Portfolio of the Global Service Delivery (GSD) organization, including financials and performance metrics. The Global IT Service Planner structures the portfolio of infrastructure services for the Global Service Delivery organization, including the Service Catalog, through coordination with subject matter experts throughout the infrastructure and security organizations, and provides monitoring of planned and actual spending for service projects. This challenging position requires cross-organizational communication, at different levels and with a broad community of stakeholders. The successful candidate:

  • Manages Service Level Agreements, monitors and measures Service fulfillment, and coordinates Service Level improvements
  • Manages and communicates the GSD Service Catalog, obtains requests for new and existing services from customers, plans the strategic positioning of GSD Services in light of business demands.
  • Produces reports on project spending, communicates, updates, and manages the spending plan in coordination with project leads, and works with IT Finance to coordinate project spending within the overall budget framework
  • Coordinates the GSD strategies across all technology areas, ensures documentation through Multi-Generational Project Plans or other tools as defined by GSD Management, ensures tie-in between strategies and Service portfolio, communicates with business and IT partners to drive gap analysis and remediation, ensures business customers receive the services they need.
  • Defines, collects, monitors, and reports on metrics across all areas of GSD, in coordination with other members of the Global Service Management Team. PLUS, coordinates the continued education in Service Management practices for GSD.
 
 
 
Qualifications:
 
Planning of complex, often conflicting, often ambiguous service requirements.
Practical experience in the analysis of multi-layered service dependencies .
Able to synthesize business impact of initiatives.
Must be able to execute set of responsibilities with minimum of supervision, and report on status to full line of management.
  • An undergraduate BS or BA degree is required, computer science or equivalent is preferred
  • Successful candidate must have 3 to 5 years of service planning experience.
  • A broad business and business process background
  • Financial and Expense Management skills including the ability to establish a course of action to meet and exceed financial targets.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and application to specific infrastructure areas.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification is highly preferred
  • Solid Project Management expertise
  • Change advocate - recognizing the need for and effectively leading change in a diverse organization
  • Broad service analyst skills
  • Broad technology management skills
  • Thorough understanding of IT Service concepts
  • Demonstrated written & verbal communication skills
