Title: Software Developer

Location: Piscataway, NJ (Significant travel required to Newark, DE (75% for first few months and then down to 25% for the project duration)

Start date: ASAP, End date: November, 2010

Applicant must be US Citizen.

Job Description:

Client is looking for software engineers with computer architecture, C/C++ programming, and Linux/Unix skills to join existing development and test teams. As a member of a small advanced software team, candidates will be challenged to implement, debug, and test components of system software. This system software is a suite of Linux-based applications that is used to manage a massively parallel computer system.

Scope:

Design, implement, test and debug a highly-reliable distributed system.

- Solid experience with multithreading, Pthreads in particular.

- Familiarity with BSD sockets API or distributed systems.

- Familiarity with reliable and scalable software design.

- Experience with parallel file systems.

Job Requirements:

- BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering

- C/C++ and Linux/Unix experience

- Computer architecture oriented

Qualifications:

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment

- Ability to work well in a cooperative development environment

- Flexibility and willingness to adapt easily to evolving requirements
