Position Description The employee's primary responsibility will be to provide leadership on projects involving the development of business solutions. He/She must evaluate user requests for new or reengineered Travel applications to determine their feasibility & time requirements & their compatibility with current systems & architecture standards.
Related responsibilities typically include the following:
·Provide technical guidelines & project leadership to a group of Programmers or Programmer/Analysts in a onsite/offshore model.
·Investigate & resolve payment processing problems. Troubleshoot, debug, provide recommendations & execute solutions.
·Support User security and maintenance related components in new and existing applications.
·Prepare business case, project plans & software specifications in support of project life cycle.
·Investigate complex systems & programming problems & recommend & implement solutions.
·Coordinate with the technical design staff in prototyping technical solutions to business needs.
·Must demonstrate the ability to proactively raise issues if specification will lead to quality system performance, or architectural issues.
·Will analyze requirements to develop reliable and flexible software architectures, while driving the technical software design/implementation.
·Provides project status updates to senior IT management.
·Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
·7 years progressive programming including project management experience with a diverse variety of applications.
·Understanding of payment related and user security business operations; environments; client server or LAN; applicable languages, software, & one or more applicable database languages ; system development & implementation
·Knowledge of payment processing and online payment provider services is a plus.
·Knowledge of PCI compliance is a plus.
·High Level Architecture of web based software with experience in java, XML Schemas, X-Path, and XSLT
·Experience with Eclipse, ANT and other build related tools
·Experience with PL/SQL and database a plus
·Capable of leading people at multiple, geographically dispersed locations
·Ability to evaluate and analyze new products and techniques in terms of their impacts on current environments
•Knowledge of object oriented analysis, distributed computing, multi-tier system, component base development, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), host integration
