Infrastructure Project Manager - Wilmington DE

Details are as follows:
Objective:
Manage the design and implementation processes within our WAN Connectivity project. This project entails connecting approximately 12 sites to the NGN WAN. The precursors to connecting include a security assessment (performed in concert with Client´s IT Security team) of the current network topography and security infrastructure, a plan to remediate any shortcomings, and liaison with in ordering and implementing the telecommunications links, equipment, and management services, and any 3rd party monitoring services (eg., Symantic). In some scenarios, the ideal solution may require collaboration with other affiliates for sharing infrastructure.

The specific responsibilities for the Project Manager will include:
o Design a Master Plan for connectivity requirements that addresses bandwidth needs, email, internet browsing, and access by external parties (Agencies, Brokers, TPA´s, etc.)
o Coordinate the company approval for delivering WAN design to meet connectivity requirements (SOW´s).
o Develop criteria for exception handling to the Master Plan
o Develop detailed, actionable project plans, timelines and costs for each site
o Work with management to identify specific resources for all key tasks
o Chair weekly status calls with project participants.
o Document and circulate minutes with an updated project plan
o Discuss / debate / resolve challenges and alternatives posed by field staff
o Elevate all problems (missed deliverables, poor participation in the field, etc.) to management
o Provide vendor management function to coordinate activities across numerous entities involved

Skills / experience required:
o Strong, relevant Project Management experience. PMI certification highly desirable.
o Experience in network architecture and design, MPLS connectivity, network implementations and conversions.
o Experience in a diverse, international multi-region, cross-functional environment with matrix reporting relationships
o Experience with intranet/internet/ extranet security, intrusion detection/preventio n and firewalls
o Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
o Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities
o Negotiation and vendor management skills
