We are currently seeking an Information Technology (IT) Resource Management Leader to join us in our Montvale office.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the determination of optimal resourcing models and the provisioning of resources to projects and operational initiatives
• Drive resource management solutions leading to optimal balance of performance, global alignment, cost, and risk
• Develop resource management policies and approaches and define a resource model to help maximize the efficient use of offshore resources
• Monitor current resource assignments and utilization factors to understand and maintain current information about inventory levels and availibilities
• Track trends and anticipate future resource requirements to drive capacity planning
• Create a network of skilled IT resources to expedite the staffing of IT initiatives, including qualifying external providers of IT services to create a variable workforce and access specialized skills when needed
• Manage the inventory and availability of IT assets (including hardware, software, tools, information, documentation, vendor contracts and licensing agreements)
• Work with firmwide procurement to arrange favorable rates and conditions with external providers
• Facilitate Resource Management team participation in Project Charter development, analyzing and framing the resourcing/sourcing options, and ultimately proposing an option in alignment with IT's capacity and overall firm strategy.
• Interface with the solution definition process and participates in the Solution Center activity to understand the approved business requirements and to plan the means for satisfying the business needs
• Serve as an innovator in IT resource management, interpreting and applying leading practices and trends as a contribution to strategic and business planning
• Manage service level agreements with external vendors, establishing success criteria and service levels for the resource management process and helping to ensure that they are met and exceeded
• Prepares the operating and capital budgets for the Resource Management group
• Hire, coach and evaluate the performance for the resource management team
• Provide leadership and resource management information to governance and executive steering teams and events
Qualifications:
• Ten years of progressive resource management leadership experience, including human capital management, vendor management, outsourcing, and off-shoring involving geographically dispersed teams in multiple organizations
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Experience as a strategic business partner and as a technical and business change agent and a track record of partnering with business units to define organizational mission and strategies and develop and drive resource management strategies and plans to accomplish defined business goals
• Strong understanding of outsourcing and off-shoring, including definition of outsourcing strategies, vendor selection, vendor negotiation, performance monitoring, and transition plan implementation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels and cultures within an organization
• Able to travel as needed
