We are looking for an instructor to conduct Computer Network Engineering Training/Certification, a 180 hour course, 8 -9 weeks, minimum 20 hours/week. Anticipated start date is mid-late October.

Computer Network Engineering Specialist Training & Certification Program

 

Summary

 

Program Name:                     Computer Network Engineering Specialist

 

Duration of training:             8 - 9 weeks (minimum 20 hours/week)

 

Total training hours:             180                   

 

Training Days/Timing:         Mon-Fri and/or Saturdays as schedule permits

 

Start and End Dates:                        As requested by NJ LWD

 

Target Audience:                   Unemployed and underemployed looking for mid-level

positions as Systems Engineers.

 

Prerequisites:                         Completion or demonstrated competencies of Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator or minimum two years comparable experience.

 

Goals:                                      Students will demonstrate expertise in designing and implementing infrastructure for Microsoft Windows 2000 Server-based and Windows Server-based business solutions. 

 

Areas of Training:                

 

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Windows Server 2003 (Industry recognized).

Students must pass the following seven exams (in any order) Students may use certifications recvieved through the MCSA progam (if applicable) toward these requirements:

Exams:

  • Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment-Exam- (70-290)
  • Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure- Exam- (70-291)
  • Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional-Exam- (70-270)
  • Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure-Exam- (70-293)
  •  Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network  Exam-(70-298)
  • Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure- Exam (70-294)
  • Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003- Exam- (70-284)

 

Credential:                             Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer

 

Internship:                             Optional. At local companies, paid or unpaid at the                                                              company's discretion.

                                                           

Estimated enrollment:           15-20

 

Class/Lab Requirement:       Computer lab equipped with: 40 Gig Hard Drives, 2

Network Interface cards per computer, 2 Gig RAM, and a cross over network cable for each pair of computers.
