Lead Systems Analyst , supply chain

This is a position in Global Information Systems working with implementation of Oracle Process Manufacturing and related Oracle E-Business Suite Supply Chain Management applications. For this position, we seek a Lead Systems Analyst who has a background in supply chain management, preferably gained through hands-on experience with supply chain management systems and implementations. This position requires a Lead Systems Analyst who understands the data captured through the various stages of the supply chain and knows how that data is propagated through the components of the supply chain applications.

The Lead Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting the existing implementation of Oracle Process Manufacturing. The Lead Systems Analyst will play a lead technical role on projects related to Oracle Process Manufacturing and other Oracle E-Business Suite supply chain applications. The Lead Systems Analyst will also assist with configuring, implementing, and administering Oracle Process Manufacturing and related Oracle E-Business Suite supply chain applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide support for Oracle Process Manufacturing and Oracle EBS supply chain modules at the application, systems, and database level.

Understand and monitor the processing of batch records from CMOs, Suppliers, 3PLs, etc. Work with data in the batch records to validate and ensure data integrity and consistency.

Help to develop and support programmatic interfaces between Oracle OPM and other systems, as well as external systems for CMOs, Suppliers, 3PLs, etc.

Understand functionality and integration of the various supply chain modules and applications in order to support business requirements.

Work with end users to understand their business requirements, and translate those requirements into system designs and eventual system implementations.

Prepare and review technical documentation for accuracy and for adherence to and regulatory standards.

Work cross-functionally and in close coordination with other Global IS groups on projects and system implementations.

Assist in delivering the assigned project on time and within budget and work to continually improve  Global IS processes.

Minimum Requirements   Necessary technical skills:
Applications: Oracle E-Business Suite 11i (11.5.10.2), specifically Oracle Process Manufacturing and Oracle supply chain modules

Languages: SQL, PL/SQL, scripting languages

Databases: Oracle 10g

OS: Unix, Linux, Windows

ETL Tools: Data Loader, SQL*Loader

Use of API's in data processing following coding standards

Preferred Education and Experience Levels:
M.S and 6+ years relevant work experience,
or
B.S and 8+ years relevant work experience

We are looking for a high energy, self-starting individual to be responsible for systems engineering and administration. Maintenance and evolution of our computing environment, focusing on automation. This is not an entry level position. 3 to 5 years of experience is preferable.
 
Our group specializes in high frequency global equity statistical arbitrage trading. Everyone is very technical and focuses heavily on using a variety of technologies to automate as much as possible. Our systems environment started small scale and has grown organically as the need has risen. We now have an array of Windows and Linux production servers, research servers, Linux desktops, storage servers deployed across 2 locations.
 
The goal has been to apply enterprise level practices to our environment, infrastructure control, disaster planning, and software configuration management and deployment. In addition to the specific requirements below, the ideal candidate will operate across a broad set of technologies and learn on the job to make this goal a reality. Our expectation is that the majority of the time will be spent doing software scripting to robustly automate the environment. This is more than a systems administration role as the group will rely on the candidate to stay abreast of new technologies to be able to research, plan, evolve, and grow infrastructure to meet expanding needs of the business.
 
Responsibilities
Install and maintain Linux and Windows server systems.
24x7 on call duties for production data center systems.
Ensure that data, phone and power cabling is up and running during business hours.
Maintain and improve upon existing documentation describing IT systems and procedures.
 
Qualities we are looking for in a new hire include:
"           Broad knowledge of System and Linux administration, specifically Red Hat including NFS, Samba, NIS, Users/Groups, Sudo, Apache + Tomcat, NTP. Candidate is expected to have expertise and understand the configuration, management, maintenance, and tuning of Linux.
