Job Description A major Foreign Bank Holding Company is looking for a Java Developer Front Office Cash Credit Trading In their New York City office.
Main Duties
Server Side Java development on a Front Office cash trading application.
Quickly and efficiently implement functionality and conduct testing.
Work closely with supported businesses including Trading, Operations and Application Management in providing Goal-oriented solutions.
Skills Required 6 to 8 years programming experience.
Broad knowledge of fixed income products with specific experience building credit trading systems. Solid understanding Of cash credit trade process flow including booking, valuation, P&L, sales trade matching, settlement and STP processing.
Server side development using Java, Perl and shell scripting. Knowledge of C#/.Net a plus.
Experience in the use of persistence technologies / app framework (JDBC. Spring)
Understanding of messaging/middlewar
Software design skills (Object Oriented Design and Modeling, Database Design and Modeling, etc.) Sybase, Oracle Times Ten
Knowledge of the Fixed Income / Repo products and trade processing, financial markets and trading.
Results-oriented, self starter with positive "cand-do" attitude
Ability to effectively communicate with senior users in a global, team-based environment
Strong inter-personal skills with ability to communicate thoughts, designs and implementation in both written and Verbal form.
Require proven hands-on development and support of distributed computing environments
Salary Range This is a full time position for an Assistant Vice President and the salary is based on experience.
