Job Description A major Foreign Bank Holding Company is looking for a Project Manager Equities in their New York City office.
Main Function
A Senior Project Manager is required to take the leading in planning, solutioning, tracking execution and overall Project management of cross assed class and/or cross functional business initiatives. This senior project Manager will be accountable for ensuring all aspects of the project are scoped, planned, tracked and managed To successful completion.
Immediate focus of this resource will be growth of International Cash Equities in the Americas (e.g., includes Cross border business flows. This includes management of small team or project managers and development Of a supporting UAT function.
Main Duties
Working alongside the business sponsor the job holder is accountable for driving the successful delivery of Critical business expansion and/or change projects.
Work with key senior stakeholders to scope initiatives, establish governance and define target solution.
Creation and maintenance of detailed project plans covering all functional deliverables.
Interface with the Technology, Operations, Compliance, Trading, Sales, Risk, Tax and other functions to identify And tract key activities, milestones, risks and dependencies.
Senior Stakeholder management (typically MD level business heads).
Status reporting, providing visibility on status against milestones and transparence of risks and issues.
Chair/lead key project meetings including steering committees and working groups.
Take the lead in identifying key bottlenecks and take responsibility for ensuring issues are addressed and reslolved In a timely manner.
Conflict resolution in a high-pressure environment.
Skills Qualifications/
Experience Required:
In-depth Project Management experience (8-10+ years relevant experience)
Demonstrate experience of running and delivering large scale, critical business change programmes and/or corporate Change programs.
Superior communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
Advanced understanding of project management best practices / methodologies / project lifecycle.
Strong delivery focus
Excellent analytical skills
Excels at conflict management and building a tean in a matrix reporting structure.
Cross border / multi geography project delivery experience.
Track record in delivering large scale change within the Investment Banking sector.
Salary Range This is a full time position for a Vice President and salary is based on experience.
