Job Description:
The selected candidate will be a member of a diverse team that supports the Real Estate business unit. As a leading global real estate manager, our client offers a broad range of real estate investment opportunities and investment management services to clients in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. They provides a full range of real estate investment alternatives: Core, Value-Added, and Opportunistic Funds; US. and International Capabilities, and; Global Real Estate Securities.
The selected candidate will predominantly work to support the roll out of MRI Software's Real Estate Property Management application (MRI) in the USA. Additional assignments will include assisting with the implementation of Resolve Technology's Real Estate Portfolio and Asset Management applications (Request & Portfolio Maximizer) around the globe, assisting with the MRI roll out outside of the USA, and performing other business technical support as determined by management. The position requires that the candidate work with system vendors, property managers, accountants, investment analysts, and asset/portfolio managers. In addition, primary responsibilities include interfacing with systems developers and business partners to define requirements and set priorities, perform and coordinate business and end-user testing of custom reports and modifications to the real estate systems, and provide documentation and user training for these modifications. The candidate should have previous project management experience implementing major modifications to a system, and should also possess general real estate accounting, business, and process skills and be able to work with various teams.

Job Responsibilities
* Providing production application and database support, including researching production problems and initiating corrective action where appropriate.
* Taking the lead in aspects of projects as defined by IT management.
* Preparing and revising project plans and schedules and providing ongoing status reports.
* Interacting with project managers and business analysts to clearly define requirements for application change requests.
* Consulting with clients, IT management, and staff throughout the project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development, and implementation of effective systems.
* Working from or writing specifications to develop or modify software programs which will improve or enhance system operation.
* Providing consulting and leadership in identifying business requirements for financial system modifications and enhancements, analyzing current business processes, and defining work flow and completing gap analysis.
* Developing and delivering training, either in person or via web conferencing, to the business users (property managers, accountants, and business analysts) of the supporting systems.
* Assisting with user acceptance testing of new or modified applications and features and validating their production readiness prior to their promotion to the production environment.
* Travel to various locations in the USA, and possibly around the world.

Qualifications:
* Strong Project Management skills.
* Working experience with both client/server and web based applications.
* Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate business, including exposure to residential and/or commercial property management.
* Strong working experience with a Real Estate Property Management system, MRI being the preferred choice.
* Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask and set priorities.
* Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and SQL Query
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work productively under pressure (independent / meets deadlines / flexible / responsive to change).

Background Pluses:
* Experience with financial applications, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

The Business Analyst is the primary liaison between the business community,

Critical Thinking: The candidate must have strong critical thinking skills which
involve the ability to identify and summarize the problem, question, or issues.
He/She can identify necessary or probable assumptions or presuppositions and
determine when additional information is needed for a given purpose. He/She can
construct deductive and inductive arguments and construct/critique analogical
arguments and explanations. He/She is able to understand and evaluate causal
arguments and explanation along with assessment of common types of statistical
information, generalizations, and reasoning. He/She can define measures of
performance to place on system solution.


Desirable Requirements:
* Knowledge of e-commerce principles, web technologies and retail business.
* Experience with requirements management and modeling tools (e.g. Visio,
Caliber RM, Together, Rational Rose, RequisitePro, DOORs).
* Exposure to formal software development and project management methodologies.
* Project Management experience is a plus.
