My name is Srinivas Ganadinni and I am a Account Manager with Novost
Consulting - IT Staffing Company based in New York. Currently, I am working

Title: Java Developer with Swing Development Experience
Location: NYC
Duration: Long Term Contract
As a member of the Application Development staff, the candidate would
participate in the development and implementation of internal and mission
critical external distributed web applications. The position is for an
Application Developer who has strong experience developing and implementing
applications using the J2EE architecture. The candidate will be responsible
for building web/Swing applications based on the established system
architecture and will be involved in the entire project life cycle
(requirements gathering, development, deployment and maintenance).
Required Skills
. Participate in the analysis and design of applications with the System
Architect and Business Users (including business model, security model and
Business components); . Translate business model and user requirements into
software specifications; . Develop and conduct design walk-through; . Build
application components based on software specifications; . Provide support
of application deployment and maintenance; . Makes recommendations towards
the development of new code or reuse of existing code; . Support testing
(Functional, Performance, Access controls); . Develop documentation
artifacts; and . Production support during weekend/off-hours work, when
required Skills: Typically possesses 5 to 7 years of relevant work
experience.
. At least four years of working experience with JAVA, Servlets, SPRING
Framework, Swing, JSPs, JDBC, JavaScript, HTML; . Proven working knowledge
of the J2EE architecture; . Proven working knowledge of Websphere and
Eclipse or IBM's Rapid Application Development IDE; . Proven working
knowledge of the Spring Web application framework; . Strong Object-Oriented
analysis and design skills, including requirements analysis, OO design
patterns, and UML;and . Strong oral and written communications skills and

Folks,
I just wanted to inform you that the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will once again be holding their Work Local First Fall Job Fair to be held on 9/15/2010. It will held at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel in the center of Poughkeepsie NY.
This event will host employers of all shapes and sizes who reside in the Hudson Valley. In early September I will identifying a tentative list employers who be attending this event. In addition to the Job Fair, and as the Chairmen of the Work Local First program, I will be hosting a seminar series with skilled guest speakers that will provide their experiences to help the job seeker kick off their fall employment search.
The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 and last until 2:00pm. The seminar series will kick off at 10:00 and last until 2:00 pm. Our current lineup of speakers will include Vickie Causa, Ellyn Eisman and myself. In addition we will be holding a mock interview session conducted by the speakers to provide you with first hand advice on how you are being perceived by the hiring managers.
The job fair and the seminars are free to all but you must pre register due to limited seating at these event. In the next few days I will be sending out additional information regarding how and when to register.
This will be another great opportunity to network with employers and fellow networkers

Position Purpose:
Resource will work within the Enterprise Architecture team to help design,
develop and implement innovative solutions to meet Company's business
opportunities across multiple lines of business. The person in the role will
utilize their experience in technology and enterprise application
development to evaluate complex business and functional requirements in
order to design and implement robust enterprise level solutions in a quick
and agile fashion. The role requires a dynamic resource that is capable of
rapidly building prototypes and full scale implementations in multiple
technologies and platforms. The role will also work as the liaison between
our International and North American businesses to coordinate standards and
strategies on projects and long range planning. The candidate must have a
unique combination of business and technical aptitude because the role
regularly interfaces with both business and IT resources at various
organizational levels.
Duties and Responsibilities
. Lead the development of Company's technology strategy for mobile.
. Serve as the primary liaison between the International and North American
IT organizations responsible for facilitating coordination of standard
implementations of technology platforms and long range technology planning.
. Prototyping, design, development and implementation of application systems
across multiple technology platforms and languages.
. Understand the technology needs of the business areas supported and
address them with high quality, timely, and cost justified solutions.
. Provide consultation to business unit and IT management and staffs at the
highest technical level.
. Work with business teams to evaluate and document complex client
requirements and processes.
. Work with the rest of the Enterprise Architecture team to support multiple
business areas and understand the impact of systems on these areas.
. Research and evaluate alternative solutions and creates proposals to meet
business needs.
. Evaluate existing tools/technologies and make appropriate recommendations
for projects.
. Design and architect new subsystems or major enhancements to existing
systems.
. Is highly accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of
project design decisions and how easily these designs can be implemented.
Requirements
. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an
equivalent combination of education and work experience.
. Experience in strategy development and implementation of mobile
technologies. Technologies should include experience with mobile websites,
text messaging, native applications and mobile APIs.
. At least six, typically eight or more years experience in systems analysis
and application program development (or an equivalent combination of
education and work experience).
. Experience in Java (5+ years)
. Experience in .NET (5+years)
. Experience in Agile Software Development methodologies.
. Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture, JEE, .NET, Web Services,
Oracle and SQL Server.
. Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with both technical and
non-technical people at the appropriate level, in a clear concise manner.
. Proactive, results-oriented, and positive attitude.
. Mature development and design skills. Able to understand and translate
complex business concepts into sound, reusable designs.
. Solid technical documentation skills (e.g. functional and technical
specifications).
. An eagerness and ability to learn new skills.
. Proactive, results-oriented, and positive attitude.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. . Previous consulting
background a plus. . Siebel background a plus.
. Experience designing and implementing master data (MDM) and data warehouse
solutions a plus.
