My client a Top Tier Investment Bank is looking for a Systems Analyst/Support Analyst to join the NY PERM TEAM!!
Job Description
· This position is to be part of a global Support Team providing support to Trading, Structured Middle Office and other key business areas.
· The successful candidate will have solid business knowledge coupled with competent IT skills.
· He/she will also be capable of working within the support team and proficient enough to work alone on mini projects set by the Head of Support and the US Head of IT.
- Strong communication skills are essential. The role will involve support tasks that embrace the entire suite of products which span across the operations and the investment division.
- The role will also focus on the implementation of the LineData Fund Management suite including FundManager; LongView Compliance and LongView Trading to the Global business. This includes systems configuration and testing.
· To be proficient enough to chair meetings with senior members staff.
Job Requirements
Assistance in the implementation of the LineData Fund Management platform ( LongView ). Including system configuration, testing and training.
- Full Application Management / Support of IT platforms / applications
- Drive the BLM (Business Liaison Meeting) initiative within the US office (represent support in the BLM). This is to allow the business to give the support team feedback and a chance for Support present achievements and support statistics.
- Answer calls from users globally with priority being US calls and resolve them in a timely manor
- Provide technical expertise to both users and 3rd party vendors
- Schedule and chair regular vendor meetings.
- Manage Support SLA's with third party vendors
- Drive the logical access control methodology across systems.
- Ensure handover to Singapore office is executed seamlessly.
- Log and Track all calls and internal technical issues in HPSC
- Package and release code and system patches
- Follow technical support processes and procedures handbook
- Escalate critical issues to the relevant departments
- Identify workarounds to bugs and issues whenever possible
- Identify and assist in implementing projects that benefit the business users
- Participate in the BCM process (Business Continuity Management)
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will also assist the NY BA with project work.
- Asset Management or general Investment Banking business knowledge
- Asset Management vendor system implementation experience preferred - preferably LineData LongView Trading (alternatively Charles River / LatentZero platforms)
- Asset Management or Investment Management system support experience
- Computing or other science/business degree
- Working experience in software support or customer-service role
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of databases and programming language particular in Oracle with PL/SQL and MS SQL Server with VB.Net
- Experience and exposure to financial industry, including Fund Accounting and buy side trading applications and protocols (OMS, EMS , FIX protocol)
