We are working with a client who is looking for a Vice President of Marketing and Sales in New Haven County , CT.   Salary range is 150,000 -185,000 plus up to 45% bonus.  Relocation assistance is available.

The Vice President of Marketing and Sales is responsible for the expansion of business development opportunities for the existing products, the sustainment of the existing programs and the identification and management of new product/program opportunities in existing and adjacent markets to achieve growth objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

As an integral part of senior management team, the candidate will play a leadership role in developing the strategic plan by being abreast of the future direction of Department Of Defense (DOD) communication networks.

Identification, qualification and capture of new business opportunities.

Sales forecasting and pre and post sales technical support.

Recommend appropriate alliances and teaming partnerships.

Identify, plan and manage all new product opportunities from inception to discontinuance.

All marketing communication activities including Web site, manuals, advertising , trade shows, press releases, training, white papers that demonstrate a deep understanding of customer issues and solutions.

Development and maintenance of all Marketing and Sales processes and procedures including the CRM system.

 

Required Skills:

BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

12 years experience in DOD sales and marketing including established relationships with customers

Comprehensive understanding of DOD current/future communication networks and budgets

Previous management experience including demonstrated success in building effective teams

Excellent oral and written skills including demonstrated experience working with and making presentations to senior personnel in DOD and major defense prime contractors

Security clearance at least at Secret level

 

Preferences;

Prior long term military service

Masters in marketing

International business development experience
