Department: Performance Improvement
Reports To: AVP Performance Improvement
Position Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for the development and execution of
organizational projects following the department's established project
management methodology. The successful candidate will deliver high quality,
efficient and cost effective project management, management consulting and
analytical support services and solutions to internal clients throughout the
organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Effectively manage projects by setting clear project milestones and
deliverables
* Communicate goals, objectives and responsibilities clearly; keeping the
project focused in terms of scope, deliverable management and meeting project
timelines.
* Create and execute project plans designed to meet stated goals using
departmentally established project management tools and principles.
* Create and maintain documentation as required.
* Facilitate meetings and conference calls with project participants with a
consultative approach.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 3-5 Years of Advanced Project Management experience
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills
* Strong time management and organizational skills
* Must have a highly consultative and solutions oriented approach to working
with internal clients with an emphasis on collaboration and consensus building
* Comfortability working with internal clients and stakeholders ranging
anywhere from the Manager to VP level
Technical Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Project, Visio
and PowerPoint

National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)/NIH
Division of Intramural Research Programs
Daily Duties:
1. Perform regular syntheses of radiotracers using automated synthesis devices.
2. Maintain automated apparatus for radiosyntheses.
3. Perform experimental radiochemistry.
4. Perform radiochemical analyses on radiotracers, using techniques such as radio-TLC and radio-HPLC.
5. Perform organic synthesis in support of the medicinal chemistry program.
6. Ensure radiation safety during radiosyntheses and radioanalytical chemistry operations.
7. Record raw data; file data accessibly.
8. Contribute to laboratory activities and findings at laboratory meetings.
9. Work with staff to prepare laboratory findings for publication and presentation at meetings.
10. Perform organic synthesis of key materials (e.g., reference compounds and precursors for labeling).
11. Work with staff on exploratory new drug or target applications.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. MS in Chemistry with 4+ years experience in radioactive synthesis or labeling.
2. BS degree with 6+ years of experience will be considered.
3. Practical experience with analytical and/or synthetic organic chemistry using automated equipment.
4. Practical experience of separation techniques such as HPLC.
5. Strong in oral and written communication skills.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
