You would support the development of and / or write various technical and non-technical analysis documents such as: technology audit reports, user manuals, requirements and design specifications and apply appropriate technical writing, editing, multimedia, visual design and tools skills, as required.

You would have experience working on multiple projects and may assist several product managers.

You would:

Gather and record information effectively with team members, business users, and management.
Explain complex ideas and highly-technical systems to readers and stakeholders using written and oral communication skills.
Experience and examples of writing use cases, case studies, data flow diagrams, white papers and other technical articles / proposals
Ability to work with Axure or other platforms to create interactive wireframes, prototypes, functional requirements, etc.
Attend related meetings throughout the product development lifecycle to identify and shape documentation needs.
Work with the QA/Testing team to verify and document test cases according to industry standards / best practices
Collaborate with project managers to perform Risk Analysis, Estimates and Processes Adherence
You must have:

Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related filed WITH Technical Writing Experience

or

Bachelor of Science / Computer Science degree WITH Writing / Communications Experience

Your experience would include:

2-3 years of technical / business analysis and writing experience in a web / software engineering environment.
Skill in writing original material and in synthesizing, organizing, rewriting, refining, formatting, and editing rough-draft material while maintaining the integrity of the ideas.
Expert knowledge of MS Office and the Adobe Creative Suite
Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle processes; B2B SaaS landscapes, content management systems, business intelligence, analytics, and social media.
Current with technical communication practices and standards, and incorporates knowledge into projects and day-to-day work.
The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work on several projects simultaneously from inception to completion and meet assigned deadlines.

WebSphere Portal Engineer: For a financial organization in Jersey City , N.J. Must have extremely strong Websphere and it must be obvious on the resume.
Candidates must have a good job history, preferably in a corporate environment and not as a short term contractor. Base salary depends upon experience but is expected to be approximately $125-145,000 + Bonus. Please feel free to forward this on to others. Thanks

 

Responsibilities:

 The WebSphere Portal Engineer is responsible for ongoing maintenance/support of the WEB Portal infrastructure including the production internet and intranet sites.  This includes performing regularly scheduled maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting problems and performance tuning, addressing security issues, and developing/implementing standards, policies, and procedures.  It also includes installing new web applications and upgrading vendor software releases.  They will be responsible for identifying and resolving problems using structured troubleshooting methods, techniques, and tools; this will require close coordin at ion with other departments within Systems and with external vendors during problem analysis/resolution

Technical Experience:  

IBM WebSphere Portal v6 & v7 & Applic at ion Serverv6 & v7; performance, tuning and debugging of all software issues

•   IBM WebSphere Portal install at ion, upgrade releases, support developers

Troubleshooting, developing, deploying and supporting the applic at ions on WebSphere Portal

•      Knowledge of general internetworking concepts

•      TCP/IP

•      UNIX, Microsoft Windows 2003 and Linux

•      Load Balancers (F5 Local Traffic Managers)

•      IIS, Andrews File System, SiteScope, IBM Lotus Connections v2/5 & v3.0.

 

Knowledge/Skillset:

       •       Must have strong verbal communic at ion skills

College degree preferred; 4+ years corpor at e experience with Websphere Portal Infrastructure

       •       Non developers/infrastructure minded
