Department Position Description Requirements
Information Services
Clinical Applications Coordinator
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
· Provides end-user assistance in Laboratory and Pharmacy. Maintains the
Laboratory Information System (LIS), including the General, Micro, Blood Bank
and Pathology modules. Builds and maintains Interface Engines.
· Coordinates activities and determines future needs for the Meditech
Pharmacy Module, including data analysis and report compiling, ensuring the
accuracy of information transmission across interfaces (instrument, order,
report, and billing), ADT, and peripheral communications.
· Must recognize interdependency of laboratory tests and effectively
communicate physiological conditions affecting test results. Interprets
quality control data and corrects errors following laboratory policies.
· Act as IT trainer for Laboratory Department. May train additional
specialized hospital groups in HIPAA compliance with regards to data and data
systems while effectively keeping information flowing between various parts of
the hospital.
· Possesses management ability and ambition to cover supervisorduties
LICENSURE:
Medical Technologist Certification by the American Society of Clinical
Pathologists
EXPERIENCE:
· Knowledge of HL7 interfaces
· 5+ years of lab experience in a hospital setting with previous LIS
experience required
or
· Supervisor, lead tech or lab manager experience required

Shifts available:
7am-7:30pm

7pm-7:30am MAIN FUNCTIONS:
· Delivers nursing care to pediatric patients (and adult and geriatric
patients as needed), appropriately assessing pediatric patients from the
neonate to 18 years of age.
· Transcribes physician and medication orders
· Communicates effectively with Physicians, Case Managers, Social Workers
and other Staff, providing clear and concise patient reports.
· Formulates patient care assignments and delegates responsibilities to
staff, where appropriate.
· Demonstrates exemplary professionalism, courtesy and etiquette.
· Safely and effectively uses patient care equipment, including equipment
specific to the Pediatric Department. Licensure:
· NJ RN License
· PALS
· BLS

Experience:
· Pediatric RN exp req.
· Additional Med/Surg RN exp. preferred.
Education:
BSN or current enrollment in BSN program required.

Status: Per diem
Shift: 8:30am-5pm MAIN FUNCTIONS
* Collects patient menus, corrects menus, maintains Kardex, and prepares
production sheets.
* Acts as a liaison between the Patient, Food and Nutrition Department
and Nursing Services during meal times for the communications of all
patient /resident food needs.
* Performs a variety of tasks, which relate to the transfer of
information concerning patient/resident diet, meal selections, and
preference including menu distribution and retrieval.
* May be trained to do diet modifications
EXPERIENCE:
· 1-2 years Diet Tech exp preferred.
· Experience collecting and correcting patient menus desirable.
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Ability to work with time constraints.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED required.
