The McGraw-Hill Companies is looking for a Manager of Change Management and Communication to support our ERP initiative. This position will partner with senior leaders to develop and execute global internal change management and communications to educate and promote the ERP Lawson project by leveraging current and new communication vehicles, face to face and executive announcements, with the ultimate goal of driving leadership and employee engagement, alignment and adoption.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Change Management, Communications, and Training:
- Counsels project team on appropriate and effective change management and communications strategies to drive program objectives
- Implement a change management and communications process and framework to ensure alignment and collaboration with business segment and program leaders
- Conducts change impact analysis and facilitates change mitigation planning; including development of stakeholder go-live support materials ("toolkits")
- Coordinates, prepares, and tracks leadership and change champion activities
- Facilitate collaboration and communications between and within the program team, business units, departments and Corporate
- Partner with program leaders to execute on key change and communications initiatives that drive employee adoption and engagement
- Develop efficient strategies to extend key program messages and success stories via multiple comm. vehicles (Intranet, e-mail, new vehicles, executive memos, etc.)
- Develop and deliver 2-way communications to engage employees and gather feedback.
- College Degree required, Master's preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal clients and leaders.
- Broad experience writing organizational memos, speeches or talking points on the behalf of senior leaders.
- Creativity/Innovation: Takes the lead in implementing innovative and useful approaches, processes or tools that are new to McGraw-Hill; builds on ideas of others to come up with new ways to address business problems.
- Decisiveness: Weighs alternatives and make sound decisions under time pressure; ensures that team identifies windows of opportunity and that necessary actions occur within that time frame.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking/Intellectual Capability: Takes a holistic approach and explores various solutions to communications problems and uses experience in ERP and/or Finance. To develop the appropriate and most effective approach possible.
- Communication/Persuasion: Presents complicated information in a straightforward and easy-to-understand manner; fosters a free flow of information; effectively represents Editorial Services ideas and interests to others.
- Project Management: Understands complex project management and tracks change, communications, and training progress against key project milestones and workstream dependencies
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
- Partner and manage vendor relationships.
