Linux Systems Administrator - (US-NJ-Jersey City) Compensation: $80K - $90K / Year Minimum Education: Bachelors Job Type: Full Time Jobcode: ANRJA1 We are looking for an individual who is highly experienced in systems administration for online service, one who has a strong background in managing all aspects of an Apache web server/hosting environment would be the best match for this position. Job Functions: § Perform system administration for web and application servers. § Perform in-depth maintenance and tuning. § Participate in an off-hours on-call rotation § Take an assigned standard day shift Supervisory Responsibilities: § none. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: § Expert level understanding of Linux, Apache, and TCP/IP. § Installation and troubleshooting of software packages and OS § Development as needed in Perl, Bash/Shell scripting.. § Strong experience with Apache and LDAP. § Strong experience with Web applications § Strong experience in problem troubleshooting and systems monitoring operations dealing with networks and protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, Vlan and DNS. § Strong experience with Fiber Channel and iSCSI networks, § Strong Experience with VMware ESX § Experience with storage arrays, 3par arrays preferable § Strong experience with systems and network monitoring software configurations § Excellent oral and written communication skills. § Strong self-starter. Desired Skills/Experience: § Citrix Netscaler experience or knowledge § Cabling § Resin/Tomcat § -Postgres/Oracle/MySQL § EMC SAN § OSPF/EIGRP/BGP4 § Cisco PIX, iptables, ipfw, ipf, pf Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university highly preferred. 4 years of commensurate experience considered.
