The client, a
prestigious financial services firm, located in Fairfield County CT, is seeking an
experienced Electrical Engineer. This individual will be primarily
responsible for managing day-to-day efforts of critical infrastructure,
including business critical systems serving the trading floors.

This position requires
deep understanding of electrical engineering and experience working with
critical infrastructure. A successful candidate must be capable of
managing multiple streams of project execution.

Responsibilities would include:

Partner with
Engineering Project Team to define and oversee design and construction of
systems

Project
management delivery and coordination of systems. Plan, design, build and
budget projects

Oversight
of vendors, consultants and contractors for successful project completion

troubleshooting of building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire alarm

creation

Evaluate
and coordinate commissioning of critical systems

forecasting

Metrics
and tool development, power consumption forecasting and review

Reviewing

critical systems and methods of procedure, and present plans to management

Position Requirements:

In depth
knowledge of building systems, from an operating and troubleshooting
perspective, with a concentration in Electrical Engineering; including medium
and low voltage distribution systems, critical environment design and
operations

Strong
project management skills

·
Strong
customer service skills

·
Experience
overseeing critical infrastructure, specifically trading floors

·
Knowledge
of office software, CAD, CMMS packages

·
Understanding
of budgeting and forecasting

manager to implement their trading systems into asset
management divisions of large investment banks & pure hedge funds. The ideal
individual will have strong technical as well as business experience.

You should have significant client facing abilities and be able to
communicate with c-level executives of major financial firms.
You will also be expected to have strong proactive account management skills
and a successful track record of balancing the demands of multiple clients.

The client is looking for someone who can be the sole project manager
running full front office system implementations.

You should be accustomed to talking with traders, finding out what is

their needs. The right individual will come out of a software vendor or out

MARTY LATMAN: Our speaker for the event is Marty Latman. Called by some people as the Best Networker they know, Marty will present the basis tools you need to use to land the position you want. Marty is the chairman of the Bergen Chapter of Financial Executive Network Group (FENG), which he created in March 2002 with 29 members. Membership within this chapter has now grown to over 2800 members. Since its inception, FENG-Bergen Chapter has successfully helped more than 550 of its members find gainful employment. He is also the chairman of NJ Strategic Executive Networking Group (NJSENG), a FEI member, and a member of over 20 other career networking groups.
