Description A major Broker Dealer located in Jersey City, New Jersey is looking for a SOX Compliance Manager.
Responsibilities:
Responsible of overseeing and managing all aspects of the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program. This position will report to the CFO.
Coordinate testing with both the external and internal auditors.
Manage the quarter and year-end certifications required for Sections 302 and 404 of the SOX program.
Skills Required Public accounting experience is desirable but not required.
Minimum of 6 years overall experience with at least 3 years experience in the areas of internal audit, internal controls Assessment and /or SOX 404 evaluation and testing.
Prior work experience managing and supervising senior and junior-level staff resources in the areas of internal audit Or SOX 404.
Must have demonstrated experience with/knowledge of: Sections 302 and 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, PCAOB Standards regarding internal control testing, audit planning and execution, internal control design, business process flow Documentation, GAAP financial accounting and SEC reporting.
Regulated broker-dealer, capital markets and/or financial services experience is essential.
A Bachelor's Degree is required with a major in Accounting.
A CIA, CPA or other related accounting professional certification is desirable but not required.
Series 7, 27 or other relevant industry licenses is a plus.
Salary Range This is a full time position which will pay between 125k to 150k plus bonus based on experience.
