Title: Sr. QA Analyst-Test Engineer
Location: Bridgeport, CT
Salary: Competitive
Our client is seeking a Sr. QA Analyst - Test Engineer who will function as
a team member of the Quality Assurance/Testing Center of Excellence,
providing technical expertise in support of the enterprise test program.
Collaborate with IT and business team members to determine the scope of the
testing effort, resulting plans, and schedules, Review technical specs and
provide guidance for test approach and objectives and Participate in the
development of QA test processes necessary to maximize effective delivery of
business solutions.
Primary responsibilities:
. Design, develop and run automated test scripts using HP Quick Test Pro
. Administer QA team test tools including HP Quality Center
. Perform independent QA testing and validation activities, including
development of test documentation
. Manage test data architecture, including test data mining and
manufacturing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
. BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
. 5-10 years of relevant experience in a QA/Test program capacity with
strong understanding of SDLC processes and QA methods and standards.
. Strong knowledge of Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, Visual Basic & SQL
. Experience with testing mainframe, multi-tier and web-based applications
. Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a team member
. Strong written and oral communication skills; this position requires heavy
communication with management, technical, business and vendor teams
. Familiarity and experience with VMWare virtualization environments
. Familiarity and experience with performance test tools and data management
tools
. Administration of software tool infrastructure including license
management
. Effective time management skills providing detail and quality oriented
deliverables
. Experience with financial systems

Description:
The role is for an expert in network security, firewall, DMZ design, IPsec VPN, network monitoring, network gateways, network design/topologies, and networking protocols. The successful candidate will join an engineering team in IT Security in a multinational enterprise. This team manages, evaluates and creates the core security infrastructure for the Firm. The candidate should be the subject matter expert in one or more of these areas.
The ideal candidate must have a very strong technical foundation in networking and ideally Unix systems. The candidate must be a technical leader, have strategic visions, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with global partners.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Analyze problems to determine the best solution
- Design solutions to challenging security problems
- Collaborate with peers to vet proposed designs
- Automate tasks via the use of scripts and programs
- Review designs and assess risk from app dev and other teams in subject area
- Write formal security reviews in subject area
- Provide engineering escalations to services and operations teams
- Able to support afterhours escalation
- Provide expert level troubleshooting and resolve problems
- Create, review and maintain documentation
- Create, review and make presentation
- Lead and mentor junior members of the team in technical areas
- Provide training to services and operations team members
- Run projects and take it from inception to turnover to production
- Collaborate with peer teams globally and communicate frequently
- Meet with vendors to assess commercial products for use in the Firm
Skills Required:
This is a deeply technical role requiring enterprise experience and suited to a true product/subject matter expert. The role is an engineering position and as such is suited ONLY to those with previous network engineering or architecture design experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- Expert knowledge of Juniper firewalls and firewall management platform
- Solid understanding of network topologies/design: routing, switching, MPLS
- Solid understanding in one or more: firewall, NIDS, VPN, DMZ, proxy
- Solid understanding of common network and system attack methods
- Solid understanding of security best practices
- Solid understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP and packet analysis)
- Prior experience in multinationals and large infrastructure
- Ability to write technical and operations documentation
- Ability to describe technical concept verbally and on paper
Skills Desired:
- Knowledge of SIEM technologies and log management tools.
- Strong understanding and experience with Unix systems
- Unix networking and sockets

firms in the U.S.founded in 1920 with offices in NY, NJ, CT and CA. The firm
is big enough to offer a wide variety of positions across many public and

The Senior Staff/Audit position could include areas of commercial,

Overview:
This position is an integral part of the Global Finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of and accounting functions, including monthly close activities and a variety of special projects. The individual will be a key contributor in the continued movement towards the creation of more prompt, useful, and consolidated reporting.
