Client
is $1 billion plus company making products for both retail and industrial
markets. Distribution Center currently has (125 employees). The organization is
transforming to a Lean business model, and the various manufacturing
organizations are moving forward with their Lean implementation. This position
will take the lead for the LEAN implementation for the distribution and
downstream supply chain part of the organization.
Purpose
of Position
* Dual role, reporting to the VP Supply Chain....responsible for the DC's operation team, a small site in Canada, 3rd party packaging and also serves as site leader for Lean deployment.
* Responsible for the entire daily operation of Order Release, Distribution, Packaging, and Shipping departments within the Distribution Center.
* Direct reports in engineering, quality, safety, purchasing.
* Directs individual department activities within framework of the organizations overall strategic plans and objectives.
* The basic function is to coach and support the distribution, packaging and material flow, as well as the order release team in Lean philosophy and practice.
* Will use Lean tools to meet the Distribution Policy Deployment goals of safety, quality, delivery and cost. Uses technical knowledge and people skills to keep associates motivated and positive as they meet the challenges of a changing schedule.

Walter,
I saw your resume on the job boards. I am a recruiter working on a position
in Bridgewater, NJ. Please take a look at the position below, as I think

Responsible for the day to day management of activities related to retail
trading partners in the areas of logistics, EDI and customer
requirements/compliance.
- Partner with key customers to coordinate internal activities
necessary to support Customer strategic partnerships.
- Communicate customer requirements and work to establish internal
operating procedures and tools with merchandising, customer service,
distribution and IT departments.
- Coordinate implementation and monitor trading partnerships with
customers using EDI transactions.
- Responsible for all activities related to Merchandise Marking
(hangtags, inbound/outbound carton labels.
- Monitor activities related to customer requirements and work with
customers regarding reversals of chargebacks and securing exemptions.
- Analyze logistics related chargebacks and recommend/coordinate
procedure changes to eliminate future charges.
Job requirements
- Bachelors degree in related field
- 10 plus years related logistics and customer service support
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and follow up skills required
