Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager, Development & Construction

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Development and Construction, this position will be
expected to support the activity for Sr. Project Leads: creating project
charters, developing schedules and preliminary budgets, project data
management, project reporting, scheduling meetings, maintaining meeting
minutes and following up on action items for all projects within the
Development and Construction (DC) department. This Project Manager will be
given small projects as knowledge and skills are demonstrated supporting
Siemens methodologies, development and construction practices. The size and
scope of projects will grow commensurate with demonstrated abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and guide multiple resources required on construction projects to
include external project managers, general contractors, regulatory agencies,
space planners, furniture vendors, and strategic procurement support. To
assure projects are completed within budget and to the complete satisfaction
of all stakeholders, including the client and senior management.
•Support the goals of the Global Sustainability Program Office.
• Develop the knowledge to conceptualize and direct the development of
analysis and business cases in support of acquisition, development and
construction projects incorporating the necessary financial, economic, and
market data to present findings to SRE and SBU management for consideration.

• Ensure that future investments/developments are designed and completed in
a way that maximizes the overall asset value without a negative impact to
future use or exit strategies.
• Represent SRE in presentations to and/or obtaining approvals from
jurisdictional authorities on development projects, expansions, or new
locations.
• Complete PM @ SRE with in first 18 months of start time to ensure a
systematic, structured approach to development and construction projects
within Siemens. The core elements of PM @ SRE are project and system
structure, quality management, risk management, schedule management, cost
management, and change management.
• Develop and manage detailed budgets associated with internal and external
service and material suppliers for SBU and SRE management review and
approval; Provides value engineering (VE) techniques as required to meet
business plans and budget requirements.
• Produce project reports and tracks critical metrics for internal and
external presentations; Gathers data and prepares presentations for meetings
with SRE Germany.

Experience/Education:
• BS/BA highly preferred, equivalent experience will be considered. MS in
Construction Management preferred.
• 7+ years of successful experience in a Corporate Real Estate Project
Management (construction) capacity.
• Solid knowledge of Project and Process Management to deliver optimum
results and state of the art real estate solutions. High level of customer
service goals and expectations, a must.
• Complete PMP certification with in first 2 years of employment, LEED AP a
plus.
• Must be proficient in MS office suite and MS Project; AutoCAD, BIM. Rivet
knowledge/experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must (including the
preparation and delivery of high level presentations).
• Willingness to travel up to 40% mostly domestic, some international.
Capabilities:
• Ability to make and implement decisions and act with entrepreneurial
spirit;
• Applicant must display a propensity for continuous change and learning,
coupled with business competence;
• Applicant needs to consistently display a Team Player orientation;
• Customer focus, Professional ethics and adherence to Siemens values are

Overview:

Working under the direction of the Planning Manager, the Business Systems
Analyst (BSA) will support the Investor Reporting efforts for the firm's

Our client is incubating a start-up which will revolutionize the financial
industry with state-of-the-art technology, a novel business model and
innovative products. We are currently looking to recruit Software Developers
to join our growing team in Bermuda, who will lead the software development
process for our next generation online platform.

Qualifications:
- Outstanding academic record from a reputable university (preferably a 1st
class/GPA 3.5+ or equivalent degree in a numerate discipline). A Masters or
higher degree will be advantageous.
- Proficient in object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C#, Java,
VB.Net)
- >3 years of hands-on professional experience in any of the following:
o Back-end system development (e.g. database, transactional, messaging,
multithreaded systems)
o Web development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, ASP.NET, JSP/servlet, PHP)
o RIA development (e.g. AJAX, Adobe Flash/Flex/AIR, MS Silverlight)
o Web UI/graphics design (e.g. CSS, 2D/3D graphics/animation, typography)

- Have experience for at least 1 complete software development cycle
(preferably following the agile model), from initial specifications to
maintenance and support
- Previous experience in a start-up environment would be a strong plus

Responsibilities:
- Work with the business team to gather requirements
- Design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance of the system
components he/she is responsible for
- Conduct research on emerging technologies

- Masters or higher degree strongly preferred
- Proficient in object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C#, Java,
VB.Net)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in any of the following
(either as a developer or project manager):
o Back-end system development (e.g. database, transaction processing,
messaging, multithreaded systems)
o Web development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, ASP.NET, JSP/servlet, PHP)
o RIA development (e.g. AJAX, Adobe Flash/Flex/AIR, Silverlight)
o Web UI/graphics design (e.g. CSS, 2D/3D graphics/animation, typography)

- Have experience for at least 2 complete software development cycles
(preferably following the Agile model) in translating business functional
requirements into technical specifications
o Leading a development and test team
o Managing schedules and risks
o Communicating with executives on a regular basis

- Previous experience in a start-up environment would be a strong plus

Responsibilities:
- Own the master development schedule and proactively manage risks
- Lead and coordinate the communication between business, technical and
operations team
- Lead in translating business to technical requirements, including but not
limited to:
o Front end user interface
o Business logic
o Data model
o APIs for external parties to interface with

- Develop processes and tools to facilitate the smooth operation of the
technical team
- Understand architecture and be able to deep-dive into various components
as necessary, asking thought-provoking questions
- Manage external relationships (including but not limited to vendors) to
ensure a robust delivery of the entire technical system
- Note: this is not a people management position, the qualified candidate is
expected to use his influence and persuasion skills instead of management
authority to lead the project

experience in at least 1 complete software development life cycle
- Basic knowledge of software programming (e.g. C#, Java, JavaScript,

- Proficiency in the following: Web/graphics design (e.g. HTML, CSS, 2D/3D
graphics/animation, typography)
- Rich Internet Application design (e.g. AJAX, Adobe Flash/Flex/AIR, MS
Silverlight)

- Previous experience in a start-up environment would be a strong plus

Candidates should prepare a portfolio of previous work to be presented as
part of the interview process.

Responsibilities:
- Design the visual aspect of all public facing contents (e.g. websites,
correspondence)
- Create concept mock-ups to demo for senior management and form the basis
of actual software development
- Author or manage external vendors in creation of graphical and interactive
assets (e.g., photos, videos) for online presence
- Develop non-functional usability requirements (e.g., time to complete
certain tasks)
- Participate in customer focus groups to understand interface usability,
making changes as appropriate
