Our records show that you are an experienced IT professional with experience as a Unix Systems Administrator. This experience is relevant to one of my current openings. It is located in Long Island City, NY. This is a two month assignment. Paragon is looking for a strong technical specialist to help define requirements to build out the infrastructure for a very large client initiative. The role involves working with development teams to understand their infrastructure needs, from hardware and OS to middleware configurations. The ideal candidate will be a `go-getter,` willing to go the extra mile to get answers and finish the job. The ideal candidate will be a tech junkie - wide ranging experience with a lot of different technologies, as well as an interest in learning new technologies. Must be able to `figure out` how to use new technologies by researching on the web and/or reading documentation. strong experience with technology operations/infrastr ucture working in a data center, supporting the central technology infrastructure team experience with Unix/Linux (/etc/config, etc.) Ability to define requirements in order to build a Unix Server Combination of Unix Systems Administrator and Business Analyst Collect data from application development teams and interpret information `hands off` role; another team will build the server experience working as liaison between infrastructure and development teams experience with defining hardware configs - RAM, CPU, File Systems, Terrabytes, etc.
