Event Details: The next Somerset Job Fair will take place on Monday, May 3 at the Holiday Inn Somerset at 195 Davidson Ave from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will feature a diverse set of employers hiring for many different types of positions- job seekers will be meeting face-to-face with hiring decision makers and can ask about all of the jobs these companies have available. Manager, Financial Analysis and Reporting – Manufacturing
Dialight Corporation, an industry-leading manufacturer located in Monmouth County, has an immediate need for a Manager of Financial Analysis and Reporting to join its team.
This is an exceptional career opportunity for an accounting professional with experience providing decision support to senior financial and manufacturing management. Must have extensive knowledge and experience in cost accounting, variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment.
This position will report directly to the Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
* Provide accurate and timely management reports for sales, margin, overhead and profit variances against forecast, budget and prior year.
* Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy through investigation and analysis of these variances as well as trend analysis.
* Analyze key performance indicators to identify underlying business issues and provide input for operational decisions.
* Support executive management through all facets of budgeting and forecasting by serving as the key control point for all such activities.
* Formulate and administer accounting practices, process changes and improvements to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing operations.
* Measure and monitor inventory and freight levels, and identify opportunities to improve inventory turnover and reduce freight expense.
* Produce timely and accurate financial reports and analysis as required by management for informed operational business decisions. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all information.
* Perform complex analysis and modeling to assess operational performance and profitability along multiple dimensions, including by customer, product and by initiative.
* Perform any ad hoc financial analysis or special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA/CMA/MBA preferred.
• 7-10 years related accounting and analytical experience in a manufacturing company, with a strong cost accounting background.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivots and model building.
• Access experience and proficiency desirable.
• Experience operating in a multinational environment, preferably with Mexican operations (Maquiladora).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment where a daily "open items" list will change based on the needs of management.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with some overtime during the closing process.
• Record of communicating results in a credible and influential manner, challenging assumptions as appropriate.
• Proven ability to interact with all business functions and levels of management. Capable of partnering with and influencing executives.
• Knowledge and experience working with MAPICS and secondarily Spreadsheet Server is a major plus.
