2 Fidessa Roles in NYC
Posted by: "Craig Goldberg" cgoldberg@hyattleader.com cgrecruit
Thu May 6, 2010 1:00 pm (PDT)
I am reaching out to you today to share two Fidessa Roles that I am currently working on for my client in NYC. If you would like to speak directly about either of these positions, please send me your updated resume and i will give you a call to discuss.
Fidessa Production Support
Wall Street Investment Bank located in Midtown NYC is looking for a Fidessa Support Analyst to join their technology team.
Our client is looking for a Production Support resource (NOT a Developer, NOT a BA, and NOT a PM) to work within their US Equities Technology organization.
MUST have extensive experience supporting the US Equities business on the FIDESSA platform.
(meaning they need to have supported at the the trade level (not infrastructure) and have experience supporting Front, Middle, and Back-Office users of FIDESSA).
MUST have strong US Markets knowledge and experience for Cash Equities and strong technical skills as this role is very hands-on. Knowledge of UNIX, SQL, and FIX are required. Sybase and TCL are big pluses.
Fidessa Business Analyst
Prestigious Wall Street Investment Bank is looking for a Business Analyst to join their technology team.
Immediate need for a business analyst that has at least 5 years experience, of which 2 years would have been working with FIDESSA. Our analysts require a strong understanding of both the business/markets and technology. The business/markets understanding is key as the analyst will be required to document requirements originating from the business (traders/management), operations, compliance, product control, risk as well as the various IT groups (post trade, finance, etc.). The analyst will also be required to investigate and document various IT solutions to meet the user requirements, identifying which option will work best based on the user requirement, priority and available resources. To propose an IT solution will obviously require a strong understanding of the systems used, which will be FIDESSA the majority of the time. The role is hands on, with the analyst often testing their own solutions first before passing along to the testing team. Testing responsibilities include review of SIT cases, writing and executing UAT with the user groups requesting the changes and tracking defects & following through with the necessary IT (development) staff to resolve these defects. Due to the nature of our company & trading platforms, there is a need to work with colleagues globally in Europe & Asia. Previous experience working on global equities trading systems is not required, but preferred.
