SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The primary responsibilities of the Data Steward are to review the data in
InterAction to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the
information; works closely with secretaries and other Data Stewards globally
throughout the firm; and to act as a resource for end users with regard to
data base best practices and changes. This is a 3-9 month contract, with
possibility to go permanent in 2011, paying $18 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring the Interaction database for duplicate records, merging duplicate
contacts, and ensuring that information is associated to company records.
This also includes other miscellaneous tasks, such as standardizing company
names, standardizing company addresses, and ensuring that necessary data
fields are populated.

Reviewing the database to proactively identify inconsistencies in the data

Conduct research using internal and external sources to determine
information is accurate.

Resolving data issues by following up with attorney, secretary, and/or end
user as necessary.

Coordinating activities and workflow with other Data Stewards in the firm to
ensure data changes are done effectively and efficiently.

Reviewing the database to identify and recommend adjustments and
enhancements, including external systems and types of data that could add
value to the system.

Assist with end user training.

Perform such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: (Describe minimum requirements necessary to
successfully complete the essential job functions)

1. Working knowledge of contact management and CRM systems and have the
relevant certifications from the vendor.

2. Working knowledge of other computer programs relevant to the CRM
system such as EXCEL and Outlook Contacts.

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, writing and presentation
skills, and coaching, mentoring and teaching skills.

EXPERIENCE: (Describe kind and length of experience required)

1. 1 - 2 years experience with client relationship management software.
InterAction experience is a plus.

2. Strong attentions to detail; consistency and quality control.

3. Desire and aptitude to learn database technology and quality control.

4. Excellent research skills and general knowledge of corporate
structures.

5. Strong communication skills.

6. Effective organizational and problem solving skills.

7. Strong client service skills.

Research Informatics has recently implemented a Client Engagement Manager
(CEM) role with the CEMs having responsibility for customer relationship
management and also for assessing business needs and identifying solutions
to address those needs in order to develop business cases for investment. To
be successful at assessing business needs, the CEMs need to develop
competencies in Enterprise Business Analysis. These competencies will also
help the CEMs perform business analysis in the context of given projects
when needed.

The primary purpose of this position is to mentor staff in the hard and soft
practices needed to successfully perform these assessments, identify the
best solutions and develop business cases. The successful candidate will
perform limited to no business analysis on any specific initiative but
rather will leverage his/her expertise in business analysis, software life
cycles, communication, and organizational change management to help the CEMs
improve their overall capabilities.

Specific Duties

* Mentor designated CEMs across Research Informatics to perform
enterprise business analysis; specifically to understand how to partner with
customers to understand their business goals, assess the gaps and needs that
need to be met to address those goals and recommend solutions. Examples of
activities include but not limited to:

* Plan out the analysis approaches needed for specific initiatives
* Gather input from customers and other sources using a variety of
hard and soft skills as appropriate. 'Hard' skills expected to include high
level goal decomposition, process modeling, conceptual data modeling, pain
point and gap analysis. Soft skills expected to include facilitation
techniques, negotiation techniques, communication approaches and change
management approaches
* Assess information to identify the best solutions to specific
business needs in partnership with technical staff
* Communicate to gain alignment on the appropriate solution where
needed
* Develop business cases

* Mentor designated CEMs across Research Informatics to perform
project level business analysis; specifically to

* Plan out the analysis approaches needed for specific initiatives
* Plan for the requirements change management and traceability
approach
* Elicit project level requirements using various interviewing,
brainstorming and other elicitation techniques
* Analyze and document requirements
* Manage change and traceability in requirements over the course of
the project

* Monitor CEM EBA activities to assess quality of business analysis
deliverables, identify areas for skills improvement and make recommendations
for training needs for individual CEMs
* Answer how-to questions
* The successful candidate may be expected to also do a small amount
of either Enterprise or project level BA as part of the mentoring work

Training & Education Preferred

* B.S. or B.A. degree in computer science
* Formal Training in Business Analysis practices, preferably with an
International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certified training
vendor.

Prior Experience Preferred

* More than 10 years experience in the software industry with
experience with the full lifecycle and a focus on 'pre-project' and
strategic analysis to understand customer goals and needs and develop a
roadmap for customers and develop business cases for projects.
* 8-10 years of experience in delivery of business analysis on project
teams required including experience in standard business analysis approaches
and techniques. While this position is not going to actually perform
business analysis on any projects, the successful candidate will be an
excellent practitioner of business analysis. This includes experience as a
lead BA role in large corporations directing and coordinating the activities
of other BAs in the context of a project.
* Has formally taught other BAs on the practices of Business Analysis.
As a mentor, the successful candidate needs to be able to communicate the
practices with the clarity of someone teaching them
* Must have experience with enterprise business analysis (pre-project)
to assess business need, identify opportunities and develop business cases
for projects.

* Knowledge of business architecture
* Proven track record in organizational change management. This is
required both to drive the needed change in the CEMs and also to help the
CEMs understand how to drive change in their customer base

* Pharmaceutical knowledge a plus but not required

Business Analysts to convert agile "stories" into requirement documents,
standardize procedures for product managers, document manual procedures so
they are documentations based rather than Agile. Produce formal
requirements that can facilitate QA procedures and UAT effectiveness.

Financial background to include forecast creation, budgeting and procurement
of assets/services.
Experience in Vendor management / interaction
Proven experience leading IT infrastructure projects (typically 5 - 7 years)

The Solutions Engineer (SE) Planner ensures consistent delivery of
Infrastructure Services managed by Enterprise Technology Organization (ETO)
to the Line of Business (LOB) sponsored investment projects. While the SE
Senior or the Director owns the relationship with the LOB Management, the SE
Planner owns the relationship with the project customer and the project
team. Planner is the primary point of contact between the project teams and
ETO resources. Primary focus for the Planner is to ensure that Enterprise
Technology Organization meets the needs of the business investment efforts
and the business unit by partnering with cross functional IT groups and the
business customers providing solutions utilizing technologies supported in
ETO.
