OVERVIEW
The Business Analyst is responsible for performing business analysis, training, and production support activities as part of a project team. The Business Analyst may also participate in application design, quality assurance/testing, and providing ad-hoc reporting to clients in support of business and project needs.
MAJOR DUTIES
& RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Analysis 20-60%
Facilitate analysis meetings with customers to determine and prioritize their business and system requirements for specific projects. Document and analyze requirements (e.g. business system, security, conversion, and report) to determine feasibility and recommend business process improvements where appropriate. Work with software developers to create functional design and document technical specifications.
Perform process and/or data modeling and create entity relationship and application workflow diagrams. Coordinate with QA and Developers to manage data conversion including analysis of existing data, implementation of conversion process and data verification.
Support Project Manager with scope definition, cost/benefit analysis, and project plan. Provide analysis task time estimates. Prepare application release notes and distribute them to the customer.
Facilitate meetings in support of project teams and customers. Develop meeting agendas, minutes, and subsequent communication documents.
Perform walkthroughs and/or prototype demonstrations
Support 20-30%
Provide hands-on production support. Identify and research problem trends and work with internal or external subject matter experts to correct and proactively prevent further problems by recommending and/or implementing bug-fixes, application enhancements, customer training, or other measures. Document and facilitate turnover plan to other technology groups as needed. 10%
Training 10-20%
Identify customer training requirements, participants, and desired time frames, and implement training delivery and documentation. Train customers on an individual or ad-hoc basis as needed.
Quality Assurance 10-20%
Structure business requirements to facilitate test plan creation. Support development team and QA with testing activities and needs. Coordinate and participate in User Acceptance Testing.
Assist in the creation of application build schedules
Project Management 10-50%
May assist or provide project management in the absence of a PM as necessary, including project planning, development, change control, implementation, issue management, customer relationships, and team leadership.
Reporting 5-10%
May run, create, or assist in the preparation of system reports to provide information to the client.
Other 5-10%
Communicate regularly with senior team members regarding task or project status and opportunities to improve service levels or business processes. Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure quality service levels.
Other tasks and duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years in software development, business analysis, or related IT experience
Participation in more than one system implementation through the complete project life cycle
Proficient skills using the MS Office suite and process modeling tools (e.g., Visio)
Experience with client-server architecture
Experience with structured development methodology
Experience with relational databases and queries
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
2 years functional experience in a business function
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
BS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience
COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT
Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated proactive customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities, with a basic understanding of project management tools, methodology, and practice.

Position: Global Project Manager

Description
This contracted Global Project Manager role will be responsible for leading the deployment of the electronic workflow management and digital asset management system (COCOON) all Global Business Units. This system is leveraged by the creative design, packaging engineering, and design project management teams as part of the Global Strategic Design Office (GSDO). The Global PM will need to proactively work with the appropriate vendors, deployment IT Leads in each of the regions, and with the Pharmaceutical technical organizations to ensure that objectives are met, on-time, on-budget and on-quality, per SDLC .0 guidelines. Regular communication and status meetings with all levels of the organization will be necessary.
The role requires knowledge of the Design Lifecycle Management functions, with clear understanding of inputs and outputs to other functional areas (i.. &D, QA, Supply Chain, and Sourcing). The PM will need to understand the Consumer Package Goods industry landscape and requirements to be able to provide subject matter and change management expertise working directly with business partners, vendors, and other Pharmaceutical technical organizations. The GBUs supported include Consumer Healthcare, OTC, Beauty, and Baby. Each GBU is responsible worldwide for one or more global franchises (.g. Sanpro, Reach, oral care, wound care, smoking cessation). Brands include: Tylenol, Listerine, Imodium, Purell, Sudafed, Bengay, Clean & Clear, Johnson's Baby, Band-Aid, Neutrogena, etc.
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Candidates who possess an advanced degree are preferred. This position will require a minimum of 7 years experience with project management of software validation in GxP regulated environments. Experience implementing Global process/systems is required, minimally across two global regions (NA, EMEA, ASPAC, LATAM). Candidates are required to possess a demonstrated working knowledge of core application development principles and methodologies. This role requires tailoring communication to all levels of the organization.
Candidates who possess hands-on experience supporting design/packaging engineering/project management groups are preferred. working knowledge of the FDA and its processes are preferred. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage work in accordance with full system lifecycle (SDLC .0) from concept to production deployment are preferred. Experience with Business Process Modeling, and with leading substantial change management resulting from process and system changes is preferred This position will be based in Skillman, NJ, but may require working in New York City for the Neutrogena Cosmetics portion of the project.

â¢Research, identify and recommend appropriate technology products required for solution delivery by participating in the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers. â¢Coordinate the architecture and integration design and documentation activities across all architectural disciplines: Application, Information, Integration and Infrastructure

Description
This contracted Global Project Manager role will be responsible for leading the deployment of the electronic workflow management and digital asset management system (COCOON) all Global Business Units. This system is leveraged by the creative design, packaging engineering, and design project management teams as part of the Global Strategic Design Office (GSDO). The Global PM will need to proactively work with the appropriate vendors, deployment IT Leads in each of the regions, and with the J&J technical organizations to ensure that objectives are met, on-time, on-budget and on-quality, per SDLC 3.0 guidelines. Regular communication and status meetings with all levels of the organization will be necessary.
The role requires knowledge of the Design Lifecycle Management functions, with clear understanding of inputs and outputs to other functional areas (i.e. R&D, QA, Supply Chain, and Sourcing). The PM will need to understand the Consumer Package Goods industry landscape and requirements to be able to provide subject matter and change management expertise working directly with business partners, vendors, and other J&J technical organizations. The GBUs supported include Consumer Healthcare, OTC, Beauty, and Baby. Each GBU is responsible worldwide for one or more global franchises (e.g. Sanpro, Reach, oral care, wound care, smoking cessation). Brands include: Tylenol, Listerine, Imodium, Purell, Sudafed, Bengay, Clean & Clear, Johnson's Baby, Band-Aid, Neutrogena, etc.
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Candidates who possess an advanced degree are preferred. This position will require a minimum of 7 years experience with project management of software validation in GxP regulated environments. Experience implementing Global process/systems is required, minimally across two global regions (NA, EMEA, ASPAC, LATAM). Candidates are required to possess a demonstrated working knowledge of core application development principles and methodologies. This role requires tailoring communication to all levels of the organization.
Candidates who possess hands-on experience supporting design/packaging engineering/project management groups are preferred. A working knowledge of the FDA and its processes are preferred. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage work in accordance with full system lifecycle (SDLC 3.0) from concept to production deployment are preferred. Experience with Business Process Modeling, and with leading substantial change management resulting from process and system changes is preferred This position will be based in Skillman, NJ, but may require working in New York City for the Neutrogena Cosmetics portion of the project.
