JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Design and deployment of databases, servers, networks, storage, middleware,  e-mail, directory and other technology platforms shared across the enterprise,
Plan acquisition, design, testing and implementation of the all aspects of the corporate voice & data network.
All aspects of telecommunication services. 
A department budget of multi-million in capital and multi-million in expense.
Accountable for all call center, multimedia applications such as IPTV, instant messaging, fax mail, voicemail, speech recognition, call recording, data networks (internal and external), voice networks and trading floor network environments.
All aspects of the Network Operations Center.  Maintain very high network performance standards due to the criticality of the network to the business.  Implement new processes where required, outsource technology where appropriate. 
Provide direction and leadership in the related vendor contract negotiations.
Provide leadership to effect changes in the organization and in the technologies which resulted in improved services at reduced costs.  Implementation of programs to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Establish metrics, key performance indicators and service level agreements for driving the performance of IT service delivery for Infrastructure services.
 
 
 
Qualifications:
1.     10 to 15 years of infrastructure management and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of experience in managing multiple, medium to large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.

Proven track record of providing strategic direction of next generation network solutions.  Successfully managed the engineering design and implementation of the new corporate network, including network conversion.
Experience with “cloud” provisioning, both internal and external (vendor hosted) clouds
Experience in areas such as network design and administration, data center operations, database administration, and systems programming and administration.
Management of the network engineering teams responsible for multiple call centers, multiple data centers supporting the enterprise network as well as the domestic and international networks.
6.     Senior level management role in IT infrastructure and operations.

Direct management of staff, develop organizational structure to ensure organizational effectiveness, and align objectives to corporate strategy.
Ability to effectively establish and maintain professional relationships with both domestic and global employees, partners and customers
Ability to influence senior leadership through appropriate and positive approaches
Excellent planning, organizing, scheduling and budgeting skills to develop business plans and implement operational plans to meet the needs of the business as well as support daily operational requirements
Experience in a global matrix business, preferably in a shared services support environment

THE CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LEADING A SALES REGION CONSISTING OF THE NEW ENGLAND AND UPSTATE NEW YORK MARKETS.  POSITION HOLDER WILL HAVE OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL SALES CHANNELS AND SALES SUPPORT WITHIN THE REGION.  GOAL WILL BE TO MAXIMIZE SALES OF FUEL OIL, NATURAL GAS, ELECTRICITY AND VALUE ADDED PRODUCTS TO COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL CUSTOMERS.  PRIORITIES WOULD INCLUDE GROWING THE CUSTOMER BASE AND MEETING SALES METRICS AND OBJECTIVES.  THE SALES DIRECTOR IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR REGIONAL P&L PROFITABILITY.  THIS IS THE HIGHEST LEVEL REGIONAL SALES MANAGEMENT POSITION.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- GROW FUEL OIL, NATURAL GAS AND ELECTRICITY SALES AND MEET/EXCEED GROSS MARGIN AND PROFITABILITY GOALS BY OBTAINING UPLIFT ON RENEWALS, ACHIEVING CROSS-SELL OBJECTIVES AND ADDING NEW PROFITABLE BUSINESS.  ENSURE SALES STRATEGIES ARE MET WITHIN COMPANY GOALS AND GUIDELINES.

- TRAIN AND DEVELOP SALES AND SALES SUPPORT PERSONNEL IN SALES AND MARKETING STRATEGIES, PRODUCT PRICING, PRODUCT OFFERINGS, CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGEMENT, SALES CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS, PRODUCT QUALITY AND SPECIFIC PROBLEM RESOLUTION.

- TRAVEL REGULARLY WITH SALES PERSONNEL TO OBSERVE AND EVALUATE PERFORMANCE AND ASSIST IN PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT.

- ORGANIZE TIME AND TERRITORY PROGRAMS FOR SALES PERSONNEL WITHIN THE REGION TO       OBTAIN MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY

- EVALUATE SALES PERSONNEL BASED ON PERFORMANCE AGAINST PLANNED METRICS.

- EVALUATE MARKET CONDITIONS AS REQUIRED AND PROVIDE PRICING GUIDELINES AND ASSISTANCE      TO SALES PERSONNEL.

- PROVIDE APPRAISAL OF MARKETING CONDITIONS AND COMPETITION TO ASSIST SENIOR              MANAGEMENT IN FORMULATING MARKETING STRATEGIES.

- INTERFACE DAILY WITH VARIOUS ENERGY MARKETING SUPPORT GROUPS AND ENSURE OBJECTIVES ARE MET.

MAXIMIZE EFFORTS OF SALES PERSONNEL

- REVIEW SALESMAN'S WEEKLY AND MONTHLY PERFORMANCE REPORTS TO ENSURE OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE OF TEAM.  OBJECTIVE IS TO MAXIMIZE SALES AND MARGNS AND CUSTOMER CONTACT.   ENSURE ACCURATE FORECASTING AND MAXIMIZE CUSTOMER PERFORMANCE.

- REVIEW AND APPROVE BUDGETS AND EXPENDITURES IN THE SALES REGION.

- ENSURE SALES TEAM IS COMPLYING WITH ALL LEGAL DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS WHEN NEGOTIATING AND INTERPRETATING CONTRACTS AND GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS.

- ASSIST IN NEGOTIATING DISPUTES CONCERNING SPILLS, SHORTAGES AND PRICING COMPLAINTS THROUGH SALES TEAM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

- CONDUCT ROUTINE MEETINGS TO GIVE FEEDBACK TO SALES MANAGEMENT CONCERNING THEIR GROUP'S PERFORMANCE.  REVIEW GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF TEAM.
