Manager Technical Support - Financial Firm Midtown

 

Job Duties:

 

"         Manage the service desk team to ensure work is completed in a timely manner

"         Responsible for maintaining all Windows workstations, phones, laptops and mobile devices

"         Responsible for the administration of the Windows servers and network devices

"         Responsible for developing and maintaining technical documents (e.g. Build Documentation and Change Requests).

"         Responsible for patching and updating the Windows, Network and Voice infrastructure

"         Manage support process infrastructure and identify process improvement opportunities on a regular basis

"         Oversee hardware/software procurement processes and manage inventory

"         Develop and implement IT on-boarding training for new staff

"         Participate in change management process and procedures

"         Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans

"         Assist in conducting annual audit to evaluate compliance with industry standards and best practices

"         Maintain all documentation necessary for the installation of client-side software packages

"         Train service desk staff to ensure that support is provided in a consistent manner

 

 

Required Skills:

 

"         Experience in managing a team within a service desk environment

"         Must possess excellent customer, communication and organizational skills, demonstrating experience in working under pressure and delivering

"         Solid technical experience with Wintel technologies: Windows XP, 7, Windows server 2003/2008,

"         Active Directory and all related technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, GPO

"         Solid technical experience with Network technologies: LAN/WAN, Cisco VOIP

"         Experience with software packaging and deployment

"         Ability to develop effective internal and external working relationships

"         Ability to travel to remote office locations when needed

"         Critical thinking and problem solving skills

"         Must be available for after hour's supports as needed

"         Prior Financial Services experience

"         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

 

Desired Skills:

 

"         Familiar with Exchange 2003/2010, VMWare ESX/VSphere, Citrix, Cisco Call Manager and Unity administration

"         LanDesk Software suite including Service Desk, Management Server and Process Manager

"         HP ProLiant server and blade technologies, specifically c7000 enclosures

"         Knowledge of ITIL and Service Management processes

"         Financial services software including Bloomberg, Factset and Longview Trading System

"         CCNA and MCSA or related work experience
