DIRECTOR, IT & INFRASTRUCTURE

 

Experienced IT professional who will report to VP Operations/CEO, responsible for managing overall company-wide infrastructure – including ecommerce, retail sales, in-house call center and office infrastructure in support of achieving aggressive business growth objectives in a fast paced organization. This role will lead, mentor, motivate and upgrade, if needed, the talent within the IT organization to achieve high performance. The Director will provide a strategic vision and develop the plan to achieve the organizations goals and objectives

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Oversee on-going software development of NetSuite based e-commerce platform

·        Create strategic plan to achieve scalability commensurate with business growth plan

·        Establishes a process to identify and prioritize the most critical IT business needs & identify solutions

·        Planning and implementation of on-going and major modifications to supporting infrastructure in coordination with senior management and marketing team to enable better achievement of business goals

·        Communicates IT priorities and progress to the organization in a frequent and consistent manner

·        Ownership of the applications and infrastructure, ensuring interoperability and responsiveness to the business needs

·        Maintain stable, functioning platform in the context of everyday activity and sales spikes driven by Public Relations and other programs.

·        Determine and implement changes to system that substantially improve ability to test multiple marketing offers and programs easily and quickly

·        Implement and monitor network security measures

·        Oversee planning and management of company's telephone system

·        Oversight and responsibility for developing and managing annual IT expense budget including hardware, software licenses and vendor support

·        Anticipate future network and telephony needs and identify proactive solutions to meet these needs

·        Establish and build relationships with vendors integral to development and functioning of IT systems

·        Supervise in-house ecommerce architects and programmers.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·        Minimum of 5 years experience managing IT and organizational infrastructure including office networks,  SAAS programs and telephone systems.

·        Operational experience with E-commerce platforms including integration with retail operations. NetSuite experience preferred

·        Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills and experience

·        Excellent ability to work with and support direct marketing driven organization, requiring strong analytics and rapid response to in-market opportunities

·        Ability to work with limited supervision in a high growth/small company environment

·        Strong communication skills, written and verbal

·        Ability to deliver results on time and on budget

·        Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MS SQL Server

·        Working knowledge of several website programming languages such as ASP.NET, C#, PHP, XML, SQL and Javascript.

·        Knowledge and demonstrated application of business theory, business process, management, budgeting, and IT to meet end-to-end business operational needs

·        Leadership and influencing skills in providing project leadership and expertise, setting policy, resolving issues and handling issues and exceptions across Business and IT

·        Minimum of B.A or B.S. with major course work in computer science required.  MBA or Masters in computer science along with relative certifications viewed favorably
