Job Description A major Bank Holding Company is looking for a Functional Architect in their New York City Office.
Main Duties
Maintain a catalog existing examples of functional architecture views that exist in the various infrastructure groups.
Refine and publish minimal standards for what should be included in any representation of a Functional Architecture.
Work closely with managers of the various functional teams to help them identify their primary processes and the Associated up and down-stream dependencies of that function.
Work closely with colleagues to produce the functional and data models to support the enterprise architecture.
Development of additional architecture standards that would support the delivery of the Functional Enterprise Architecture at the Bank.
Work closely with development and delivery of staff of each of the infrastructure teams to help them articulate The architectural representation of the their function within a consolidated model of the full enterprise architecture.
Assist architecture supporting other programmes that should benefit from the enterprise functional and data models.
Integrate the maintenance of the EA Model into normal operations, such that the model is updated as part of the normal Bank change process.
Skills Required Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
7+ years Experience managing global-scale change programs in particularly challenging environments.
7+ years Experience in a role responsible for the functional and data architecture representation of a global enterprise.
Preferred Qualificatons:
Experience working with business and technology architecture frameworks. Experience /understanding of control functions and their environment (Risk, Finance, Legal & Compliance). Experience in delivering and managing sizeable technology platforms (facing off to senior business partners). Strong understanding of Investment Banking business, operations, technology and control functions. Strong understanding of functional and data modeling. Understanding of component based architecture and SOA associated principles. Full command of MS Office Suite as well as competency in the maintenance of SharePoint sites.
Salary Range This is a full time position for a Director and the salary is based on experience.
