Typical Agenda:
12 noon lunch open to all at Tiffany's, 231 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains. Please advise Pete if you will be coming to lunch so he can reserve the right size table. Online registration will do that. Tiff Speedwell Dir
-1:30 - 2:00 - at the Library - Welcome, Announcements, upcoming networking events in the area, 5 second pitch (name, rank, function - so speaker knows who is in the room)
-2:00 - 3:00 - Speaker and Q&A
-3:00 - 4:30 - Structured networking (60-90 seconds each) and discussion of targets.
Note: We would appreciate feedback on this general schedule. Some have requested the structured networking before the speaker, for example. What is your opinion?

Michael had a diverse career that began in Consulting with Jaakko Poyry one of the largest global management consultancy/engineering firms in the Forest Products Industry. He went on to Fisher International where he concentrated on managing, executing and delivering financial and strategic advisory services to corporate and financial clients including hedge funds & private equity investors. He was involved with M&A, building financial models, conducting due diligence and was able to increase consulting revenue by 250% in the first 12 months.
Michael then joined Citi Investment Research where he was involved in:
- The Equity Research Oversight Committee to approve/review the initiation of coverage and work to develop ideas to improve the Research product
-Identification of key market trends
-Stock Selection Committee - where he evaluated Analysts best stock ideas for selection into the firm's structured products
Michael also performed a wide array of other duties for the company .
Today's Topic: A Career Change Experience
Michael will speak about his major career change: what brought it on, what helped guide him through it, the obstacles he encountered and how he dealt with them. As he shares with us his story of perseverance in the face of adversity, he will provide information, tips and inspiration to help us stay positive during a job search, develop resilience, and regain a sense of control.
You will definitely want to attend this exciting event and learn about a topic that is quite relevant during these changing times.
