Key Responsibilities:
· Technical architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and
support of the systems that serve needs of Financial Services Organization
· Lead small to mid-sized development teams involved in
full-lifecycle development efforts which are based J2EE, Linux/Unix and
Oracle technologies
· Responsible for code quality and assurance by focusing on static
code analysis, unit testing, design and code reviews, continuous
integration, release management, performance tuning, test strategy and
execution
· Partner with System Analysts and Project Managers to implement
business requirements
· Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on
estimates, statuses, identify issues and raise risks
· Provide hands-on development and mentoring of other more junior
members of the development team.
· Coordinate infrastructure related activities with middleware and
database teams
· Implement systems based on well defined SLAs
Required Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and proven
ability to design and deliver solutions relevant to complex business
problems.
1) Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills.
2) Ability to articulate technical solutions to system analysts and
business teams without using too much technical jargon
3) 6-8 years of experience including 2-3 years of experience in
leading a software engineering team with onshore and offshore resources
4) At least 2-3 years experience working with enterprise messaging
such as the MQ/Active MQ messaging system and distributed computing
platforms.
5) 3-4 years of proven object-oriented software design and development
experience in Java-based technologies
6) 2-3 years of proven software development experience with
browser-based applications and technologies
7) At least 4 years of experience and expert-level proficiency at
Database development in Oracle
8) 3+ years of proven experience with such technologies as web
services, XML/XSLT, Struts, Grails, log4j, ANT, Spring, AJAX
9) Experience using and deploying to industry-leading application
servers such as Tomcat or BEA WebLogic 9.x
10) Financial industry knowledge is required
11) Experience with iterative software development methodologies, such as
Agile
12) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Keys to this Position:
1) Technical: We are seeking a well rounded developer with the
following technical skills: Java, J2EE, Oracle, Web Services, MQ or Active
MQ Messaging skills. ETL or Datastage is a plus. Some roles are more
focused on Tomcat, Spring and Struts along with Java, Oracle. This role is
80 to 90% coding.
2) Financial Services experience is required.
3) Excellent Communication skills are required. This individual will
need to be able to articulate technical solutions to the business teams.

Position Responsibilities - Summary
The .NET/SharePoint Developer will act as a technical resource for the
implementation of the SharePoint 2010 Employee Intranet. Provide SharePoint
design work, development, and documentation.
There are 2 opening - One is a mid level role requiring between 3-7 years
and the other, a senior, requiring 7-10 years of experience with Sharepoint.
Responsibilities:
The Developer's responsibilities include:
· Participating in the design, development, customization and
integration efforts of corporate SharePoint solutions involving
Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, and Business Process and Forms.
· Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in
conceptualizing and developing SharePoint solutions.
· Provide expertise and support to end users and other members of
the IT support team.
· Conduct research on emerging SharePoint development tools and
strategies.
· Recommend, schedule, and perform Application improvements and
upgrades.
· Provide production support for the corporate application
portfolio.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
· 3-10 years' experience developing Microsoft SharePoint
applications
· Experience in developing Windows SharePoint Services, .NET
Framework, MS SQL Server, Visual Studio 2008 /2010, C#, ASP.Net, VB.NET,
XML, HTML, JavaScript
· A solid understanding of business workflows and capabilities of
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007/2010, Windows SharePoint Services
2.0 and 3.0, SharePoint Designer 2007/2010, Microsoft SharePoint Portal
Server, and Microsoft Office suite of products (InfoPath forms, Excel
spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word Documents)
· Knowledge of architectural design, hands on SharePoint/Web
development, management and troubleshooting with a focus on deploying and
supporting corporate SharePoint solutions
· Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory authentication and group
security as it applies to SharePoint
· Experience in migrating SharePoint 2007 sites to the SharePoint
2010 platform a plus
· Working knowledge of Microsoft IIS
· Experience in working with development, staging and production
environments.
· Ability to work with pre-existing guidelines, standard operating
procedures in a fast-paced professional environment.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, (written, and
verbal)
· Strong attention to details, highly organized, computer literate
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office
environment
