Primary Purpose: The Sr. Systems Analyst will provide assistance, guidance, coordination and follow up on client questions, problems or enhancement requests for Business Intelligence (BI) at client. In this role, the person will be required to interact with business users, gather information, and understand the details related to BI platforms and subsequently resolve any issues with the BI team or other IS partners. Consult management, team members, and clients when issues require escalation. Follows up on specific inquires or requests to ensure client satisfaction. Provides input for the improvement of processes and procedures. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to... · Provide user support on issues, questions or enhancement requests for all BI applications. · Actively monitor status of open incidents to resolve within Service Level Agreement timeframe. · Generate status reports for incidents and discuss with appropriate groups for follow up and resolution. · Monitor the status of each request and provide feedback to the customer. Ensure resolution meets user requirements while meeting Service Level Agreement targets. · Interface with the BI team and other source system teams to evaluate and improve support performance and business processes. · Work with BI tools such as Essbase, Cognos and SQL; understand the database design and the data point in order to be more efficient in supporting applications. · On call support will be required in a rotation schedule during weekend and evening hours. · Design, implement and conduct training courses for all BI applications utilizing Computer Based Training. · Participate in cross-departmental and BI projects to learn about new business processes and procedures. · Gather, document, and maintain functional and technical specifications on enhancements related to business and system processes. The accomplished individual will possess... · 3+ years experience supporting and maintaining applications in an enterprise business reporting environment (e.g. Cognos, Business Objects, Microstrategy and/or Hyperion). · Experience with Oracle Essbase 7 or above is required · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Analytical, problem-solving skills.
