Accounting Manager – Distribution Company – Westchester County - $65K - $75K
Reporting to the CFO, this position is accountable for the entire integrity of all and every Accounting element of the ERP/Supply Chain integrated management system (GL / JE's/ TB / AR & Customer database/AP & Vendor Database / Inventory & Item Costing / T&E / Monthly Accruals / HR / etc.) including finite detail set-ups of all processes enabling the proper operation of the ERP system.
Overall, the objective is to ensure and execute with exactitude of the business transactional activities, flows and statements with in mind to improve and render the function more efficient.
Tasks consisting of…
Managing:
- Accounting Dept (3 employees),
- Liaison with Vendors / Customers depending on inquiries,
- Division accounting (5), process & transactions, including Foreign & ForEx
- GAAP corporate accounting policy,
- Month-end reconciliations and closing of all accounts (ready for P&L/BS/FoF needs),
- T&E Recaps & monitoring,
- All Open Accounting issues (Out of balance Control Accounts, open PO / SO's, etc.)
- The corporate financing program with Banks in coordination w/ CFO
- Employee loans
- Coordination with 3rd party providers/agencies (Insurances / ADP / IT Consultants / etc.)
- HR function (when needed)
Providing…

- support to all (internal & external) associates & partners
- support of the Treasury function,
- periodic revenue and/or expense reviews ,
- measures of department's performance,
- ongoing training of accounting staff,
Education / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a college or university; minimum 5-7 years of related experience, very well versed in integrated supply chain management & accounting ERP/SCMS systems, (equivalent to Epicor / MS Dynamics / Oracle / QAD / INFOR) with essential background in imports, brokerage and wholesale distribution. Excellent MS Excel & Word abilities
