Director Information Technology - 4D Security Solutions, Inc.
General Position Summary:
As a key member of the 4D functional management team, the Director Information Technology will be responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of IT Operations, Services and Infrastructure across a globally distributed organization, ensuring that 4D can fully support current business needs and future growth. This position will be responsible for identifying technologies to serve business users and improving IT operational agility. Responsible for scale-up and growth to meet rapidly changing corporate requirements. Hands-on management and leadership of small internal team plus contractors/vendors/external resources.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving the organization's portfolio of technology services to users in a fast paced technology environment.
- Responsible for asset planning and management including budget, capital resources, human resources, and cost control.
- Responsible for structuring, expanding and supporting the corporate computing infrastructure.
- Responsible for all IT-related Project and Program Management
- Responsibility for all LAN/WAN/Video/Telecommunications/PC/Server resources.
- Responsible for setting and implementing operational standards and targets. Standards include documentation, training, security, information and assets life cycles, etc.
- Responsible for hiring, firing, training and mentoring of all current and projected IT staff.
- Responsible for defining Service Level Agreements targets and maintaining systems to meet such SLAs
- Design and plans implementation of new technology roll outs
- Works with management to define business continuity requirements and create plans to meet such requirements.
- Continually researches emerging technologies, trends, and standards which enable our business while fostering an environment that remains protected.
Requirements:
- BS Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering. MS/MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years progressively responsible management experience in IT Operations, Technology, Infrastucture and Support
- Technical experience with MS Exchange and other systems
- Experience in small, fast-paced technology /engineering-driven organizations
- Experience in high-growth environments
- Very hands-on management capability
- Experience in multi-facility, international organizations.
- Aggressive persona, a drive for excellence, and a get-it-done attitude.
- Cost-and-budget conscious
- Ability to collaborate with partners and affiliates worldwide.
- Ability to travel internationally at least 25%
Technical Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008, and Linux in a unified computing environment.
- SAP Financial Systems, and or Mas500 or other major ERP systems experience
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, SharePoint 2007, SQL Server 2005/2008, Communications Server2007 R2 Blackberry Enterprise Server
- SonicWall Network Appliances, Layer 2/3 Networking, including VLANs and QOS
- EMC eRooms Server Knowledge, Asterisk PBX , EMC Retrospect
- Blackberry MVS, Polycom IP Phones,
- Experience with Dell/HP Laptops, workstations, servers.
