Job Description: This position will report to the VP, Finance for CBS Television Stations in serving as the primary day-to-day manager of the financial resources and reporting to WCBS-TV, with the financial staff at WCBS-TV reporting to this position. Will work with the station's department heads to implement CBS TV Stations policy and procedures and develop the station's forecasts and budgets.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee staff in performing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and fixed asset functions.
* Help supervise and complete monthly accounting close, including preparation or review of numerous journal entries, analytical reports and account reconciliations. Maintain balance sheet analysis on an ongoing basis.
* Assist VP, Finance, CTS in developing annual station budgets and in ongoing monthly and quarterly forecasts.
* Help implement and enforce compliance with policies and procedures as documented in the CBS policy manuals and other corporate communications, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Coordinate and perform quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley testing.
* Supervise accounts payable process, including invoice review for coding, purchase order compliance and expense reasonableness as compared to forecast.
* Perform various project profitability analyses, annual account analysis for tax department, and other ad-hoc research and analysis as assigned.
* Service as key station finance contact for station management, Division Finance and internal/external auditors.
* East Coast contact for financial system support.
