Required Skills: 

·         5+ Years of Information Systems/Technology experience.

·         1 - 2 years experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 required.  Must be able to create, customize, configure and manage SharePoint sites.  Above average knowledge of MOSS 2007 preferred.

·         3+ years experience in .NET Framework 2.0/3.x, XML and the C# language.

·         3+ years experience in SQL Server 2005 and T-SQL language.

·         Microsoft Office Suite Expertise. Integration with enterprise systems and overall architectural standards.

·         Prior Insurance/Reinsuran ce or other regulated industry experience strongly preferred.

·         Ability to work in a shared service model and yet integrate with a decentralized model.

·         Exposure or having worked with Records Management, Compliance functions preferred.

·         Should have strong documentation skills and understanding Software Development Lifecycle best practices.

·         Excellent communication presentation and organization skills with ability to communicate effectively across multiple IT team disciplines.

 

Assignment Description:

This position is responsible for technical development and assisting in architecture planning for enterprise web-based systems and knowledge management solutions using primarily core Microsoft technologies and web development tools.
The position requires a wide range of technical skills as well as business acumen making the ideal candidate should someone who is motivated to advance their technical skills and to meet challenges presented by evolving development platforms and expanding business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the design, development and delivery of global enterprise-level applications centered in knowledge management and shared services applications.  Platforms include document and content management, collaboration, records management, and integration with key business systems and data warehouses
  2. Provide hands-on development expertise for enterprise web-based applications using .NET and SharePoint technologies. 
  3. Contribute to the delivery of core corporate systems that provide enterprise solutions to multiple lines of businesses
  4. Develop well-engineered, supportable technology solutions that meets the needs of the global users, Business, IT and integrates well with the existing overall architectural standards in the company.
  5. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  6. Must be self-motivated and can manage tasks and priorities with efficiency.

Must be able to contribute to project planning efforts and function specification efforts.
