Position Responsibilities Summary
Senior Developer - Responsibilities Include:
· Design and implement an order marking position keeping solution to
support short selling checks under the PKS platform (Position Keeping
Service)
· Integrate the solution with order management systems across
Equities in multiple regions
· Roll out and lead implementation of the solution under the PKS
umbrella
· Define architecture and design for high scalability CEP components
of PKS
· Design the data schemas and transforms for most optimal query
performance of positions across aggregation units
· Integrate the position keeping engine with reference data sources
(account hierarchy, product mapping)
· Liaise with department DBAs to provision infrastructure (disk
space, database servers, schemas, user IDs)
· Assist with the design and architecture of trade management system
(TMS) using off the shelf data warehousing technology
· Define design and architecture of highly scalable/horizontal
architecture for CEP engines
· Develop capacity plan for estimation of storage and compute needs
· Develop bridge between CEP engine and order management systems
· Define and execute implementation plan for order marking roll out
to multiple desks in multiple regions
· Implement infrastructure components necessary to maintain low
levels of latency between execution systems and position data consumers
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Undergraduate degree, preferably computer science or engineering,
is required.
Experience:
· Experience with real time position keeping systems
· Demonstrated success implementing high throughput/low latency
event processing systems
· Experience with trade booking systems
· Experience integrating with order management systems
· Experience of working with diverse and geographically distributed
groups
· Strong technical/programming skill sets in Java and SQL
· Experience with low latency/high throughput systems
· Experience in agile software development strongly desired
Skills:
· MUST: Event processing languages and/or architecture strongly
desired - particularly: Sybase CEP, Aleri, Coral8, Streambase, Esper
· PLUS: Experience with data warehousing technology (Sybase IQ or
KDB preferred)
· PLUS: Strong technical/programming skill sets in SQL and C++
(preferred)
· Solid knowledge of data design for fast query systems
· Agile project management skills and experience with the entire
software development lifecycle
· Strong knowledge of FIX protocol

· Ability to prioritize work, set expectations and deliver on time
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Position Responsibilities - Summary:
This person will be the TIBCO SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the firm and
participate in or lead large project driven TIBCO Implementation activities
for Fortune 1000 types of firms. Individual must have significant experience
and background in BPM/BPI Consulting & Implementation activities. Must be
very hands on technically. The first project that this person will undertake
is for a large, Investment Management type of Firm located in the NJ Area.
Required Technical Skills and Competencies:
· 5+ years of Technical Architecture or Technical Project Management
experience working with TIBCO on a full range of implementation activities -
Strategy, definition, business process modeling, requirements,
administration, integration, & deployment.
· 2+ years of TIBCO BusinessWorks experience in conjunction with a
BPM Suite of Products, (iProcess highly preferred).
· Broad and deep background in most current technologies:
· SOA
· Java/J2EE or C#/.Net Technologies
· Messaging
· Web Services
· Operating Platforms (Linux, Unix, Windows)
· Database Platforms (Oracle/SQL Server)
· UML, XML, & Use Cases
Pluses:
· Experience working for a Software Vendor, Consulting Firm, or
Professional Services Organization
Other Skills/Requirements;
· Experience working on large, complex, enterprise wide, multiple
month, implementation projects
· Strong Technical Leadership Skills - Coaching, mentoring etc.
· Strong Verbal, Written, & Presentation Skills
· Strong Presence and expertise in dealing with Customers/End Users
· Travel is required - Estimate of up to 25% - Domestic Travel -
Some International Possible
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree or related
experience
