Subject: NYExUG - April Meeting Announcement - Cloud Proofing your job position

Hello All,

Our April meeting is around the corner. Presentation will be a how-to protect and defend against the marketing juggernaut of the "cloud" (cloud proof your job). Things have changed, so do not be too concerned about the cloud being a threat. There is a silverlining to this presentation by Ben Serebin (REEF Solutions).

For those who attended the Techstravaganza conference, the slides are up in this posting on Bob Hunts blog, so check them out. They are very rich with technical content (e.g. HA deck has 61 pages of goodness in it). We had some amazing Exchange speakers presenting (I think better than all the other tracks), so I strongly recommend reviewing them even if you didn’t attend. We’ll be discussing some of the knowledge at upcoming meetings since many of you did not attend.

This Month’s NYExUG Meeting RSVP deadline by Mon 4pm EST (free - includes pizza dinner & raffles)

Meeting Date/Time

Tue, 4/12. Doors open at 6pm, meeting starts at 6:30pm. Meeting location details below.

Upcoming Meetings – 2nd Tue of every month

Apr – How to Cloud Proof Your Job (Ben Serebin, REEF Solutions)

May – TBA

June – Vendor demo on an Exchange 2010 migration software solution

This Month’s Meeting Topic

The “cloud” was previously a term to outsource, but the message has recently changed. So, the tide is turning on what the cloud is, how you interact with it, cost effectiveness of it, and much more. Come to the meeting and learn more. CCOs (Chief Cloud Officers) are not permitted to attend.

Speaker

Ben Serebin of REEF Solutions has been involved in IT for almost 15 years.
