One of my direct financial clients located downtown, NY is seeking a Senior Java Lead Developer for their Credit/Exotics Business! The hiring manager will be actively interview qualified candidates immediately. The client is an extremely profitable, global Investment Bank!

LOCATION: DOWNTOWN, NYC

DURATION: 1 YEAR (POSSIBLE CONVERSION IN 6 MONTHS)

RATES/SALARY: $800-$1,000/ DAY

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to own, create, and deliver technology solutions and support for the CCR and Credit Exotics business areas. The new hire will be responsible for the technical development and support of a mission critical system. This Systems is a front and middle office risk management platform for hybrid and exotic products with multi asset capability. It is used for generating valuations and risk sensitivities for a variety of interest rate, foreign exchange, option, credit, and energy products. Nova serves the Client Counterparty Risk (CCR) and Exotics businesses.

** This role is a direct report to the head of Structured Credit Technology and is targeted to transition into a fulltime position leading the application team **

Job Responsibilities include:

Understanding technical infrastructure and functionality of NOVA application
Working directly with traders along with a Business Analyst to understand opportunities for adding value and formulating them into technical solutions
Working in a team to formulate, develop, test, and release projects prioritized by the Business
Building knowledge of structured credit projects and helping integrate the products with the strategic credit platform to minimize the operations risk
Balancing fast time to market (client delivery) with proper Governance, Compliance, and Audit mandates
Understand the changing technology requirements of the firm and help in aligning the product with changing directions with minimal user impact

Key Skills (as per the manager)

Technology:
-Core Java Development Experience (6-8yrs)
-Oracle Experience (3-5yrs)
-Excel/VBA (a plus)
-Swing ( a plus)

Business Experience:
-Derivative Trading Experience (Credit/Exotics ideal, 2-4yrs)
