Job Description A major Foreign Bank Holding Company is looking for a Reference Data Business Analyst in their Jersey City Office. The Senior Business Analyst's role is within the Reference Data team who are responsible for product and price data Within the Bank on a cross-asset basis. The team maintains a number of strategic repositories both in-house and Vendor that source, maintain, validate and distribute reference data to all systems in the firm.
Main Duties: Responsible for implementing new application components, integrating existing components and pulling together data from Various sources. Reference Data domain expertise across Equities/Fixed Income asset class of Products is preferred. Serve as a business liaison for Reference Data initiatives. Serve as a point person for vendor data and relationships. Analyze business requirements and Liase with technology team to plan effort. Coordinate project management and involve parties to define scope, schedule, tracking and reporting. Provides analysis and consultative expertise related to business practices, procedures, requirements, risk management and Process improvements. Identify, track, coordinate and drive issues resolution. Support special projects, including documentation, analysis, and status update reporting, project implementation and closure. Prepare Functional and Business requirements specification documents. Hands on data query expertise needed.
Skills Required Reference Data Domain Expert on Equities/Fixed Income/Futures/ Prior knowledge/experienc Prior experience in working in an Enterprise Environment (reference data systems, settlement systems preferred) Reference Data Modeling experience preferred. Prior working experience in handling Vendor Relationships (Bloomberg, Reuters etc.) Hands on SQL data query knowledge. Highly developed problem solving, analysis,and facilitation skills. Knowledge of Shell/Perl scripting preferred. Good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills. Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to management multiple priorities to meet short and/or changing deadlines.
Salary Range This is a permanent position for an Analyst and will pay up to 108k.
