Systems Engineer - (US-NY-New York) Compensation: $80K - $95K / Year Minimum Education: Bachelors Job Type: Full Time Jobcode: CJOJA2 This role is responsible for the day-to-day management, troubleshooting, and implementation of our client application services and data protection applications. Responsibilities include, team engineering, proof of concept engineering, planning, and delivery of all internal and external corporate systems administration. This role should be comfortable as a technical leader, independent projects, or team player - depending on what is needed for the project. This position must be able to comfortably shift priorities due to the ever dynamic and changing workload inside a managed service and consulting organization. Additionally one will be responsible for ensuring their time is accounted for, has experience in a small Corporate IT organization or Managed Services or ISP environment Skills and Certs required: Microsoft Technologies Exchange, SQL, Active Directory NetApp, EMC, IBM SAN's Host Software VM Ware, ESX Virtual Infrastructure 5-7 years experience Desired Requirements: - BA/BS in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is preferred; however stellar work experience and Industry Certifications in place of degree is acceptable - Minimum 5+ years of high level hands-on system support / engineering experience is required - Experience with Consulting, Managed Services or ISP environment (a plus) - Highly Fluent in Microsoft Technologies, such as Exchange, SQL, Active Directory - Highly Fluent in Storage Technologies, such as NetApp, EMC, IBM SAN's, host based replication software, and Common Backup and Restore Software and Policies is required - Highly Fluent in VMWARE (ESX Virtual Infrastructure) is required - A solid conceptual understanding of IP networking, network devices, and common topologies - Possesses one or more of the following certifications: VM Ware, MCSE, Citrix, etc. - Ability to evaluate, recommend, and implement system management and monitoring solutions Email resume in Word to TheBigGameHunter@ NO RELOCATION.
