Off Shift Manager Computer Operations team. The Ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to direct and coordinate activities of Computer Operations staff during 2nd and 3rd shift Operations. Must have in depth experience in diagnosing and resolving operational problems and/or determining course of action required. Capability to provide timely impact assessment of incidents, incident escalation and consistent follow-up on all issues will be the primary focus of the Shift Manager. Will be the primary contact for incident / problem identification and resolution and function as the Incident Manager for high business impacting issues and problems. Off-shift manager is also responsible for managing change implementation and certification, as well as managing testing activities. Required Skills Required Skills * Must possess knowledge of the standards, methods, practices, and techniques of program planning, computer scheduling and operational requirements relevant to computer operations facility. * In depth experience in diagnosing and solving hardware/software operational problems and in determining course of action required. While this is a management position - it is technical and will require work on the console. * Must demonstrate ability to plan, direct, train, coordinate and supervise the duties of operations personnel to achieve maximum efficiency from the computer facility and its staff. * Ability to operate a wide variety of computer related equipment in the event of a staff shortage or emergency * Ability to monitor and control large numbers of problems, projects and issues * Ability to plan and supervise the work of subordinates * Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with people * Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules. * Candidate must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. * Must be able to analyze problems and solve them creatively; be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. * Must demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills. * Must develop a strong knowledge of products, features and services and how our customers use them. * Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and complete specified tasks under strict deadlines. * Needs the ability to communicate status both verbally and in written form effectively. Must have solid team working skills in a fast paced setting. * This position will require regular interaction with various support groups, end-users and management of all levels. * Knowledge of CISCO Networking or CISCO Certification a plus as position requires close working relationship and communication with Network Operations staff. Required Experience Education: Bachelor's degree or higher Job Experience: 3-5 years management for front-line Computer Operations.
